So here I am again for the final components in my setup. :P

1. Gotta buy good wired gaming mouse & keyboard (wireless sucks for gaming)- no more than 2.5k both combined :samui:

My uneducated research led me to these-

http://www.snapdeal.com/product/logitech-gaming-combo-g100-keyboard/543394?pos=6;141 -is this a good buy? i'd have loved a button config on the mouse for 'reload' control in shooters(good idea?)

http://www.snapdeal.com/product/logitech-gaming-mouse-g300/543398?pos=3;141

http://www.snapdeal.com/product/logitech-optical-gaming-mouse-g400/543391?pos=7;141

didnt find any proper standalone keyboards on flipkart or snapdeal

p.s. I'm no PC gaming pro so just need a decent mouse+kb for that rare online fps fun...

2. Need good 2.1/3.1/4.1/5.1 speakers that has a remote control(a must) for wireless volume control...- under 3k :fear:

Till now i simply connect my speakers via an AUX wire... ya i'm a noob. will these support aux in? or has the world moved on? pls explain if can

for the speakers-

1) It should have 3.5mm jack(aux)

2) It should have a remote control for wireless volume control

3) Can be 2.1 or 4.1 or 5.1

I have researched a few- which is the best, if any? any other options?

http://www.snapdeal.com/product/philips-dsp-2600-51-multimedia/584479?pos=5;224

http://www.snapdeal.com/product/philips-dsp2600-51-ch-multimedia/539397?pos=8;224

http://www.snapdeal.com/product/fd-d1061-51-mini-size/1156039?pos=4;224 ---- i like these and some good reviews over at flipkart...never heard of the company though?

http://www.snapdeal.com/product/edifier-speaker-51-channel-m3350/141374?pos=18;224 - 4k :samui:

http://www.snapdeal.com/product/zebronics-spksw3400rucf-multimedia-41-speaker/589509?pos=3;224

Thanks for looking! :D

1.Speakers: Altec Lansing 2.1 (using it myself worth it for 2.5k possibly) (Will provide model number if necessary)

2.Mouse: Razer deathadder( around 2.2k at physical stores and buy a cheap keyboard IMO) http://www.flipkart.com/razer-death-adder-usb-2-0-mouse/p/itmczbn3ugndgsfv?pid=ACCCZ3TGHKYHRA6N&otracker=from-search&srno=t_3&query=razer+death+adder&ref=0dba5b50-3930-4f15-8955-23c445be8163

Hope this helps...

Alright so went through the suggestions and I really love the Logitech G300! Its cheap too! Just 1400. There is G400 available too for 1800 and its 3600dpi. Whereas G300 is 2500dpi. WHich one should I go for? Is dpi just for fast movement- meaning higher the dpi the fast u can turn? Or does it improve accuracy of slower sensitivity also?

For the keyboard, I've seen Alpha suggest the TVS GOLD mechanical keyboard to everyone... the best deal I'm getting for it is this- http://bhumikastores.com/index.php?id_product=77&controller=product&id_lang=1

But I read a few reviews and they say its bad for gaming since its huge and the mechanical keys arent the best for FPS gaming... infact all reviews said dont use it for gaming... how true is this?

I would really like to buy the TVS GOLD mechanical keyboard, it sounds like fun! Pls suggest

Now as for the speakers-

1) It should have 3.5mm jack(aux)

2) It should have a remote control for wireless volume control

3) Can be 2.1 or 4.1 or 5.1

Are you left-handed or right handed?

What games will you play (most)?

DPI -- Dots per Inch dictates how fast or slow the mouse moves, it does not affect accuracy of the sensor, that depends on the material you use (mouse-mat / wood / glass / cloth) the mouse upon. Higher dpi means lesser effort to get the mouse from one end of the screen to another. With the larger screen of yours the G400 with its higher dpi makes more sense.

Avoid Razer and other 'gaming' oriented companies at your price-point. Logitech is a superior option.

It is not the best gaming keyboard, certainly not the worst neither. In-fact compared to stuff like Razer I would rate it higher in my books.

Here is a review that explains it best. TVS e-GOLD Mechanical (Blue switch) keyboard.

If you are not convinced of the keyboard, look at the MicroSoft Sidewinder X4, it is surprisingly good, only issue is that it is a membrane based keyboard and sourcing might be an issue although The IT Wares or Prime ABGB might be able to get it to you.

Now as for the speakers-

1) It should have 3.5mm jack(aux)

2) It should have a remote control for wireless volume control

3) Can be 2.1 or 4.1 or 5.1

I don't use a speaker system with my RIG, get by with a microphone + IEM, might upgrade some time later to a decent headset.

Now again, questions,

  • What content will you use on them? Movie / Film RIPz, music, games? If all three in approximately what ratio?

Wireless remote's are not commonly bundled at such a low price point but you may be surprised.

Hope this helps, Cheerio!

Thanks Alpha and Joe Cool

Bought this- http://www.flipkart.com/logitech-g300-gaming-usb-2-0-mouse/p/itmd6aqth5cd9mpq

Its all sorts of awesome. :D

I'm sticking to my wireless keyboard for now as its working without any lag and the key travel is very less plus its small so takes less space so i have more space for the mouse (this keyboard i have- http://www.flipkart.com/logitech-mk240-wireless-keyboard-mouse-combo/p/itmdedwrkhnuqdfe?pid=ACCDEDVG9DS8GG9Z&otracker=from-search&srno=t_1&query=logitech+k240&ref=7ea75e5c-bed0-4624-9cfa-1904418099fc

Still no clue about the speakers though :samui: the ones i linked to dont have an aux in (3.5 mm jack) :samui: imma confused

Ok for the speakers i need something that has a 3.5 mm jack and a remote control. (remote control is a must since the pc monitor has no volume control for when i hook up my ps3 to it..so yea pls surprise me)

Now as for the purpose of the speakers- in this order- Movies/ripz----- music-------- games

budget no more than 3000 :fear: can be 2.1 or 3.1 or 5.1 but with 3.5mm jack and a remote control :samui:

Aman, why new thread for this :nono: ?

Good mouse, cut my teeth on this one. Only negatives I can list about it are,

  • The scroll wheel is tiny
  • If you use the mouse to harshly it can develop double-click issues

budget no more than 3000 :fear: can be 2.1 or 3.1 or 5.1 but with 3.5mm jack and a remote control :samui:

Tough budget but check out the following models, speakers @flipkart. Please note, the price of the speaker does not fix its performance.

Avoid cheap sets like those of iBall, Zebronics and other local brands. F &D is decent stuff. Cheap Creative sets sound cheap and get distorted easily.

A speaker I forgot to mention, Altec Lansing VS 2421 ~2800/-.

flipkart is holding stock not just acting as an intermediary.

If you bought the SoundMAGIC E10 why was there a need for the speakers, a cheap microphone would have been enough along with that. Although I must warn you the build quality is borderline on those and they can die on you any day.

Earphones are just for the gym dude. At home for movies n stuff I obviously need loud speakers. Also, I've had many good earphones in the past and yes all have died sooner or later so I know how it feels. :l

Flipkart is a bitch. :'(

SoundMAGIC's are a special level of fail when it comes to the build quality. Overall I still highly recommend them for their sound.
