UC4 is on a much powerful platform..Xbox one games will never look as good as PS4 games..There is a reason all multiplatform game look and run better on PS4..

PC version next year will crush all console games on Ultra :D

pray that its playable first :P

For all you know it will be a shite port like DR3

I watched that gameplay video and it looked okay to me.Nothing extraordinary(graphics that is).It maybe the best on Xbone but not overall one of the best visually looking current gen games.

Anyway,it's going to look great on PC

Watch Gamersyde footage..Game looks great. It's easily one of the best looking games out there..

You hate it coz it's not on your favorite PS4. :P

All SE PC ports are handled by Nixxes..Their track record on PC is excellent.

Rise of the Tomb Raider Targeting 1080p/30fps, Engine Ovehauled To Utilize Full Power of Xbox One

“We were working during a generational shift where we were able to learn about the power of next generation consoles when we made the definitive edition of Tomb Raider but we really wanted to make Rise of the Tomb Raider from the ground up. Everything has been rewritten, the lighting engine has been rewritten, the animation engine for Lara’s facial expression has been completely redone. All of our material processing, lighting engine and everything has been overhauled to utilize the full power of the Xbox One,” Horton explained to GamingBolt.

Working closely with Microsoft meant that the development team did not face any issues with eSRAM or with the console itself, says Horton.
“We have a fantastic relationship with Microsoft. We got work directly with them and were able to understand how to get most out of the system and it has been a flawless experience so far.”
And finally, he confirmed that they are targeting 1080p resolution and 30 frames per second for the Xbox One version. And if the recent Xbox SDK updates are anything to go by, we are confident that Rise of the Tomb Raider will indeed achieve that resolution standard.

CD is handling Xbox one version and Nixxes is handling 360 version..Different teams are working on both versions..

360 version will use lastgen engine and XO will use enhanced engine.

I expect 360 version to look quite good as Nixxes is working on it...Let's see.

Difference between Mordor nextgen and last version was night and day...There was no Nemesis system in last gen version. Lastgen version was barely playable...They released it just to get extra sales..

MS is allowing 360 version for extra sales nothing else..

Based on what i have seen of ROTR, game looks way bigger in scale and size compared to last TR..They even showed massive Tomb in that E3 gameplay trailer..Game is bigger and better than last game in very way...Just look at the facial animation on the face of new Lara, it looks way better than last game..I don't think they are holding anything back. They are already pushing XO to it's max.

Plus finally a 1080p native AAA exclusive game for Xbox which is not a racing or sports game :P

but what sacrifices does Next Gen. version has to make for last gen to be even in a running state

Mordor was first open world Monolith game and they did fantastic job with it...Nemesis was a true nextgen feature not possible on lastgen...It was no Witcher but still a solid nextgen game which looked fantastic and lot of fun to play...

Leaked footage of game

Nearly 15 minutes of Rise of the Tomb Raider footage have appeared on YouTube.

The demo, Siberian Wilderness, follows Lara Croft as she's split up from her adventuring partner, and then tries to survive her harsh freezing conditions by salvaging things from the environment around her. It's a section of gameplay that follows on from the teaser trailer you've probably seen.

Lara collects wood to make a fire, loots an animal carcass for its skin, and strings together her own bow - which she can reinforce and upgrade when she finds appropriate materials. She puts her ice axes to good use.

Eventually people come looking for her - hostile people - and she's forced into fighting, which she's rather good at. She climbs trees easily, in a manner similar to Assassin's Creed, and can jump from there onto - or aim an arrow at - enemies below.

She even has a fight with a bear.

Lara Croft is, naturally, in search of some old ruins and the secrets they hold. The end of the trailer has a montage of clips teasing the sorts of things you'll get up to in the rest of the game.

Rise of the Tomb Raider has timed Xbox exclusivity, and is due out on Xbox One and Xbox 360 on 10th November. Quite how it will look on older hardware - in comparison to the handsome gameplay footage here - remains to be seen.

NX GAMER -

I made a very silly and inaccurate assumption on the games resolution based on Developer interviews. I always check my information but i rushed this article up from outside the UK with that assumption. It was incorrect and the game developer has quite rightly corrected me on being an idiot. I have amended the video with that piece out and link here the resolution confirmation from Brian Horton

I apologize for the confusion caused and can assure you I will learn from this foolish mistake and only stick to facts I can confirm or prove as I have done and should always do.
