WhiteWolf
They could very well increase AA and other demanding visual effects and keep lock 30fps. New game is running on updated engine and it's already quite demanding game on PC. If they managed 60fps with improved effects then it's great but I doubt it. I will get it whether it's 60fps or not..I really like the game and don't mind playing again for Platinum For me it's the best action adventure game of this generation. Are we talking PS4 or PS4 Neo here? 60fps ain't happening on PS4 for sure. According to him if game is running 30fps on Xbox then PS4 version should run at 60 as PS4 is powerful lol Have you not read his posts in E3 thread? L33TWiZaRd
^^ I have but I refuse to believe that anyone one can be this biased and anti anything. Isn't the engine upgrade just for PC and has no bearing on the PS4? The game is beautiful and a treat to play on 30fps.
Heaven Angel
What has my posts in e3 thread got to do with any of this i am hoping for a 60fps port coz the predecessor managed it some how regarding PS4 being more powerful......it's not "according to me".....it's much clearer fact after UC4 visuals than ever before waise visuals dekhao xbone pe toh maanu Unless they have a god like game devs in their hands (If they just focus on games lol) .. Can't seem possible. QB was good but not comparable with UC4
WhiteWolf
Xbox one is not as powerful. so games obviously won't look as good as PS4 games ,but PS4 is also not running every game at 60. And just coz Definitive Edition was 60fps that doesn't mean ROTR will also run at 60fps..Definitive Edition was updated port of last gen. ROTR is using updated engine and looks much better with better effects. My Gtx 760 was able to run TR Reboot at 60fps Ultra, but now you need atleast 960 to get Xbox level of performance and 970 for Ultra 60fps. If PS4 version is somehow 60fps then it's great for me as I have not played Pc version at 60fps. But I think they will focus on smooth 30fps with improved visuals. PS4 version will look better than Xbox version but 60fps is doubtful. Personally I want 60fps as higher frame rate will make gunplay better. WhiteWolf
DE was quite early in console lifecycle and it was also using old Xbox one SDK where lot of resources were kept lock for Kinect. ROTR is using latest SDK with lot more effects and much higher polygon Lara model. Xbox was clearly struggling to run ROTR at 1080p and coz of which there were seeing few frame rate hiccups in Geothermal Valley area where there are lot of npcs and other things happening on screen. Even 970 is struggling to maintain 60fps in that area. I just want a stable PS4 port.I don't care if its 30 or 60.

playstation
Wow.... This is an awesome game with a surprisingly good story too. Wake up sheeple Done with the game. I completely enjoyed my run, especially with the main storyline. The visuals were really outstanding on the PC and the only time the frame rate took a hit was in Geothermal Valley, where it went down to 45fps, while rest was solid 60. The tomb explorations were fun and there should have been a bit more of them. It really felt like a true homage to the old TR titles, where puzzles where the soul of the game rather than the combat. I really hope they work on this aspect in their next game. Well, off to Witcher 3's DLC now. Have you guys played old TR games?. just curious so asking.... I had briefly played Tomb Raider II back in the day, but don't remember completing it. I only played Legends, felt it was better than TR reboot wanted to play underworld for the story continuation but bad reviews stopped me Both of you just do yourself a big favor...play Anniversary just to see what Lara was back than ....what exploring and adventure game really should be like. That feeling of exploration you guys talking about in this game does not even come remotely close to old games. Graphics may be bit outdated but still trust me just play that game once and you'll know what i am talking about. Edit: just read Ethan already played Anniversary...anyways tell me something how is this game exploration compared to those games....You climb and explore tombs and what you get in this game is machine gun parts or ways to enhance your weapon skill...It's not even funny...It's plain stupidity. To me, honestly, Anniversary was the best Tomb Raider game among all it's game that I have played. It perfectly captured the essence of the title and embraced the whole theme of exploration magnificently. So I understand what you're saying Playstation. I never kept these reboots in the same place as it's older siblings, but they were decent enough to keep me entertained. A lot of games have changed their style over the period of time, so it's really no surprise that they took Lara in the "Uncharted cinematic" direction. It's true they revamped pretty much everything from the older games and made accessible to a wider audience now by limiting the puzzles, which was one of the trademark of the previous games. As much as I hate to say it, but I have become a part of that impatient crowd who would instantly hit YouTube for a solution if I'm stuck for more than 5 minutes in a game. Back when I played the older games with minimal access to Internet walkthroughs, I wouldn't mind spending days being stuck trying to figure out a solution for the puzzles. So part of the reason why I enjoyed these new reboots was because they were pretty straight forward with everything and the puzzles were mostly optional. I don't like the new Lara one bit. It feels like she is always being over dramatic and is out of breath. I like how the older ones kept the talk to a minimum and focusing more on what she did best. Gameplay wise, the older games beat the reboots, no questions asked. I mean unlimited dual pistols and side strafe jump shooting and battling a T-Rex with it ( ). Then the whole lavish locales she visited and actually solved and explored them was so much fun. Visuals for Anniversary and Underworld still hold up quite well on the PC at max settings. I know what you mean when you say the whole reward of exploring the Tombs in the new one granting you with a special skills or a weapon part being absurd. Since they made all of the Tomb exploration optional and not a part of the main game itself, I suppose this was the only viable reward they could think of, which is a bit of a let down. So to summarize, even though I love the old games, the new ones aren't really bad. It's like hardcore Devil May Cry fans trying to bring down DmC (yours truly included) because it was not the same as before. In reality, it was a decent stand alone action game with Devil May Cry name attached to it. We can't stop change from happening. So might as well embrace it or avoid it entirely. playstation
Well said yaar. This is just plain entertainment ....this is not something you can take anything from other than being entertained for whatever time you play. Just that when you see your favorite video game character ...one who has actually inspired you in real life ..it's just sad to see the state of the series falling into this level. mohit9206
My Rise of the Tomb Raider benchmark on the lowest settings Pentium Dual core G630,8gb ram and GT730 1gb graphics. Even with such bakwaas specs, looks like game will be playable. Post your numbers using the built in benchmark using whatever settings you use to play the game. I have been playing Tomb Raider Underworld since the last couple of days as i bought the game from steam sale for less than 100 bucks. On max settings, game looks gorgeous. Especially when you first arrive in Thailand on the boat. But the game is quite problematic. Camera angles suck. Camera is so often headache inducing due to which you die a lot because you can't see where you're jumping. Puzzles are the only good thing about the game. The story, characters are all forgettable. Tomb raider Legend was much better in this aspect. I loved Tomb Raider 2013.Its a reboot the series needed. Great game. Yet to start playing Rise so really looking forward to playing it... on the lowest settings [emoji20] How far are you into Rise and what kind of performance are you getting?
