(A)Kira Posted August 16, 2013 Report Share Posted August 16, 2013 So as the topic implies, I'm deciding as to buying a 3DS XL or PS Vita, so which would you recommended? And also there has been some news about a price drop on the Vita, so I don't know if I should wait for that too. I'm not too familiar with the games gracing the Vita (Not too abundant I've been told ) , but I have a fair idea of whats awaiting me on the 3DS- Fire Emblem ( HYPE ), Zelda (OCARINA ), Animal Crossing, Pokemon and so on and so forth. And the 3DS is region locked if I'm not mistaken, so which region should I get? Most of the games will be bought from Playasia, Ebay, Amazon etc etc. So what do you guys think will be a better buy? ( Like Sony dropping the Vita ) But for now 3DS XL ... at this point the Vita is just a fancy PS4 controller. The fact that 3DS sells 10 times more than the Vita despite being almost same price shows that , Vita is failing because of lack of games not price. Hardware wise ,The Vita is actually better than 3DS in every way ( Screen,Controller,Online MP). And having PSN Plus means you get some free games as well. kushalrocks Posted August 16, 2013 Report Share Posted August 16, 2013 3ds xl all the way better and bigger library of games , console is cheaper than vita in (India ) if u decided to get 3ds get from india (ninty distributor here sells ntsc version ) or america both are ntsc u , games u can get from amazon USA and playasia. games list of must have is huge. The PS Vita is a fantastic system from what I've read, but the 3DS' software library is unbeatable. Legend of Zelda: OoT, Mario 3D Land, Mario Kart 7, Fire Emblem Awakening, Luigi's Mansion, Animal Crossing. That's 6 must-have games to check off right after I buy the system. It's an embarrassment of riches. I'm sure I've left something out and I'm not even counting the upcoming titles. The Vita on the other hand only has Persona 4 Golden and Gravity Rush as compelling reasons to buy the system at the moment. At least for me. Plus, the thing is, I've never owned a Nintendo system. Killzone, Uncharted, etc I've already played on my PS3. I don't feel too motivated to only play those same games again on the Vita. But I'm absolutely salivating at the thought of finally getting to try out Nintendo's famed franchises like Mario, Zelda, etc. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

They've never officially launched any product here and games are harder to find/source here. Better to go with PS Vita, get a PS+ membership and enjoy digital content. Also. Hotline Miami.
