Ethan Hunt
I use a Intex 600VA UPS for my PS3 + 24" monitor. Works fine for me - my apartment has full power backup so I only have to worry about the 30 sec it takes to switch over from power to genset. saanil
Hi Guys... Have a small question. I have recently installed Airtel Wifi at my place. I am able to connect to internet via my laptop and my mobile..however I am not able to connect my PS3.....When I go in internet settings...I go to scan in wireless networks. I can see Airtel in the connection list...however the connection type shows as "Not Supported". This is the place where we see WEP etc sort of things. Is this something airtel specific? Can some one please guide me as to what to do. The Wifi router is of BEETEL.

saanil
What is the type of security you are using for the Wifi? I am not sure. The AIrtel guy made all the arrangements and did all the settings so I am not sure what security has been used for the Wifi - Is there any way I can check it? VelivolusDas
Yes. What is the brand of the router that you have? The website should be listed in the instruction manual or something..... Maybe on the box...

piper
How does one go to the router page? Is there a website to visit? Try accessing 192.168.1.1 on your PC's browser. The default username/password combos are admin/admin or admin/password. Once you login, you can look up Wifi Security settings. {If 192.168.1.1 doesn't work, open Command Prompt on the PC, run the command ipconfig. Note down the gateway IP, and try accessing that IP from the PC's browser.} I think MAC filtering might be enforced. I remember when I was to get Airtel connection, they told me that they will be only allowing 1 or 2 devices to connect to the router. I blasted the guy saying that right now there are 7 devices at my home using Wifi. He said that using Airtel (Beetel) router he is not 'allowed' to do that. He advised me to use the BSNL provided router to connect to Airtel.

ganeshran
I was downloading Xcom from PS Store when my Airtel was FUPed. Now when this happens all requests are redirected to some silly warning page.I had finished downloading 5GB but now the download shows as complete (Total is 7GB) . when I click on install, the file size is only 1KB and says download error. If I redownload the file, it starts from 0%. Is there any way to recover the 5GB already downloaded?
abhi90
I don't think you can recover it, the download's corrupted

abhi90
try downloading via proxy, though it's a hassle but there's less risk of a corrupt download and incase if it's corrupted, others can help you :|

Even on my work machine I tried the Ps3Proxy but that also gave lot of corrupted downloads. Airtel is f**king stupid to do random redirections. The least they can do is check the user agent and only redirect browser requests
