Thanks for the answers guys. Just one question more, is it possible to use my wired 3.5mm headsets with ps3? I recently got one of senehissier but they are wired. Dont want to buy new ones:/

You need to buy a Optical sound out to 3.5mm cable. You should be able to find it on eBay

Recently noticed that playing LOU after 1-1.5 hours my ps3 goes fan crazy.I can hear the fan running at full speed even though I play in an air conditioned room.Is this normal??Any guys facing here this problem?Strange thing is only LOU is the game which kick starts the fan to run at maximum. All other games works fine.

Would like to add a Tip:

When you try to upgrade your PS3 Hard Disk and plan to take a backup, As u format the external Hard Disk that you use for taking backup, Format it with 32MB allocation units instead of anything higher, even if available. This will significantly increase the backup speed. It took 6hrs for my back up of 200+ GB.

Hi all, today I turned on my PS3 after a week, and it was laggy, and XMB was taking a long time to load, then suddenly it froze.

Now it gives me this message, when trying to boot - "Cannot Start. Appropriate storage was not found."

So I guess that's the end of the Hard drive. I wanted to know which brand would you guys recommend? I don't need storage more than 320GB, even 120 or 250 is enough.

Also, the default HDD was of 5400rpm, should I get one with same rpm or higher, say 7200? Will it cause any issues?

Thanks.

Got a 320GB 5400rpm one. Not a plus member, and given the situation of available ISP's here, I don;t think I'd be able to download games off PSN ever.

why, download limit ? how much is ur limit, wanna know coz i'm thinking about bcuming a plus member

So I powered up my ps3 and all of a sudden it keeps saying no signal in the HDMI mode. I tried the usual method of holding yhe power button down till the second beep and then it says invalid mode and keeps displaying it as long as ps3 is on.

I tried connecting my laptop to the tv and although it shows both monitors, there is no signal again when i extend the displays. Could this be a problem with HDMI cable or something else?? :helpsmilie:
