arun360
What the heck is happening?? Hi All.. I have a major issue... This evening when i turned my PC on it took sometime to show display..the load screen..i shrugged and continued.... ANd played a movie..the audio was stuttering..i opened another file..same thing...after a min the entire system freezed..so i opened the PC..cleaned my RAM and turned it on....viola it worked...but my sound card is not being detected..i cant reinstall the driver either..it says no such h/w... The light in my sound card is on...and the XFi drive is also working..but no sound... so i reintalled XP...no good.... Now my display card also have same issue.. the properties is not detecting a card... the display appears cropped...in my 22".... wat to do??? Please help... What attacks the sound card and the graphics card? It's not Lupus, that's for sure. My PC skills are very rusty but I'll gander a guess that it be a power supply issue? Aftrunner
If it was the powersupply we would have had other symptoms. Its gotta be either the motherboard or Sarcoidosis. Call me crazy but I will go with the motherboard. /Pops pill. RMA it.

Thee beeps coming from the speakers are very faint beeps right? ... Very prominent when there is nothing else playing and the volume level is high..... I think it is a common problem with optical connections .... I get the same faints beeps when I connect my Tritton Ax360 headset using the optical output ...... I searched the net and found this answer on the website ...... I hear beeps in the background during times of silence... When listening at high-levels, when there is a moment of silence, you may notice faint beeps, this is signal noise generated by your Xbox, computer, or receiver. This "Noise" is typical in systems with moving parts, such as hard drives, but can occur in receivers with no moving parts as well. http://support.trittontechnologies.com/ax360support.html I think the same reason holds good for the sound from your computer as well....
