'could not initialize direct3D. you may want to check that the latest version of directX is correctly installed on the system. Also make sure that this program was compiled with the header files that match the installed directX DLLs' help gimme the link from where you downloaded directx 9.0c. m-JeRi
am in a dilemma. i am planning to buy an assembled PC. i am wondering whether i should go for a good gaming rig or not. I have the two consoles and that should take care of most games. so just wondering. also, am not going to spend more than 60k on the PC. is 60k enough to get a good gaming PC setup from scratch? what specs? should be good for a gaming rig@ 60k. and what for a non-gaming one (usual movies/music/video streaming) Get a Good enuff PC with entry-level-mid category parts. youll be set. I say a 35k total budget... you already do your gaming on consoles...but lets play some TF2 also in the pc shall we?...

AtheK
^^Nope, the PSU is 70% efficent so technically it will be fiving out 350-375W Power
Solitaire
@AtheK, how efficient is a Coolermaster Extreme Power 600W?? Cos that's what I'm running my machine on (config is in the sig below). I've never really had any sort of problem with the PSU till date.
AtheK
extreme power are almost 70% across the line
~--YeSH--~
thx ... so corsair 550w will do the job? btw ... seen tht there is a tagan 600w modular at almost same price.... isn't tht better? Edited June 5, 2009 by ~--YeSH--~
AtheK
tagan gives a efficency of 75-80% and corsair is almost always above 80% so tagan is also a good choice. Cooler Master matching line is Tru Power.
