ram :: 768mb ddr 166

psu:: 250w

micro atx case...

Now i'm bashing my head on table ... trying to figure out how to upgrade this thing.....

I want to keep it @10k-15k

im trying to add a new mobo which has pci-e slot + a cheap 512mb gfx card+a 350-400w psu+1600 case

Leave it. Get a new PC CPU for 15k... you can get one for that.... it be far better.

Here

Core 2 Duo 2.80Ghz E7400 - 5675 --> I am sure youll find a cheaper C2d..the old stock for 3k something in ur local shop... so keep it 3.4k

Gigabyte GA-G31M-S2L 2450

Transcend 1 GB 750

Seagate 250 GB 2300

like this...you can get one

i recently installed XP on my computer and the directX is 9.0b.

i downloaded the 9.0c and tried installing and it says that the install was successful.

yet when i check the properties it still shows as 9.0b.

also when i run any program which requires directX, this is what i get.

'could not initialize direct3D. you may want to check that the latest version of directX is correctly installed on the system. Also make sure that this program was compiled with the header files that match the installed directX DLLs'

help

gimme the link from where you downloaded directx 9.0c.

so maybe get a Benq 19 " G900W, thats another 7k.

go for a lower end core2duo with abit ip35 mobo id available. it has a pci-e slot.

cheap 512mb gfx card hmm.. might want to check the price of 8600gt 1gb which you can get for 4k lol.

psu 400 w standard company is 700rupees.

so u can get a decent pc easily for 15k.

am in a dilemma.

i am planning to buy an assembled PC. i am wondering whether i should go for a good gaming rig or not. I have the two consoles and that should take care of most games. so just wondering.

also, am not going to spend more than 60k on the PC. is 60k enough to get a good gaming PC setup from scratch?

what specs? should be good for a gaming rig@ 60k. and what for a non-gaming one (usual movies/music/video streaming)

Get a Good enuff PC with entry-level-mid category parts. youll be set.

I say a 35k total budget... you already do your gaming on consoles...but lets play some TF2 also in the pc shall we?...

tagan gives a efficency of 75-80% and corsair is almost always above 80% so tagan is also a good choice.

Cooler Master matching line is Tru Power.
