playstation
Remove the graphics card from the Comp. Connect the monitor to your motherboard VGA slot. Use it for a few hours. If it still shuts down its not the Graphics card. If it works fine then it could be the graphics card. it has to be PSU, GPU won't shutdown the PC Thanks aman and afty. The problem solved . I got the psu changed bought 450 w and the probvlem is fixed now...but pc still gets warm (when playing game like mass effect(max))..par atleast wont have to switch pc after playing 30 mins of playing mass effect now... Aftrunner
Probably a silly question but are you sure you downloaded the right drivers? You can start in safe mode. Uninstall the drivers, reboot and put the old drivers back. Edited August 27, 2009 by Aftrunner
ctrl_alt_del
Can't seem to install the latest nVidia drivers. I have an 8800GTX. At the end of the installation process, it says that nothing was changed. Anyone else faced any such issue?
Aftrunner
^^ Yeah same thing happens to me on Vista. I havent upgraded to SP 1 (did a reinstall a few weeks back and cant be bothered ATM) so I thought that was the reason.
ctrl_alt_del
Oh, that is weird. Anyways, thanks Afty. can't be bothered with a reinstall at the moment.
Aftrunner
Just to clarify that. Reinstall hasnt fixed that problem, I havent reinstalled after the problem occured. Its just that I have reinstalled Vista and havent upgraded to SP1 after that and I am guessing thats causing the problem. I am still using an older version of the drivers. Karooo
Can't seem to install the latest nVidia drivers. I have an 8800GTX. At the end of the installation process, it says that nothing was changed. Anyone else faced any such issue? You have to boot in safe mode, Use driver cleaner and remove all the traces of old driver. http://www.drivercleaner.net/ Then reinstall the new driver again. Ya it happens on Vista usually. I bet he shud be using a game pad... and there are wireless audio systems too... but cant say if they perform well.. thts all I guess wht else can u have wireless?? AFAIK logitech g7 is awesome wireless mouse... no idea abt good wireless keyboard.... but anything will do... gamePAD:: X360 wireless for windows -- works for almost everygame.... wht else??? and can u ask more specifically??? besides instead of all this... get a ps3 or 360 = less wires + more comfort and save money )
Solitaire
Like Yesh said the X360 pad is good for gaming on PC. Just note that if you get the wireless pad, you need to have a wireless gaming receiver for the same from MS.
