CPU - Core2 Quad CPu @2.83 GHz RAM - 3gb (how do i check what DDR version it is? i had asked for G-SKill DDR2; hw do i make sure it is?) Gfx Card - Nvidia GeForce 9800 GT DVD Drive - LG hl-dt-st dvdram gh22nS50 (how do i check the transfer rate?) Sound card - its got realtek HD audio. good enough? or what else? will be using my altec lansing 5.1 channel speaker system with this comp now MOnitor - Benq 24" G2412HD i am guessing a cooling set would be needed; anything else? any tips? The onboard soundcard with your motherboard should be fine. If you have an amazing audio set up and are an audiophile then look for an add on soundcard. Else its a waste of money. That's what i want to know.....Isn't plantronics and altec lansing the same? coz i have altec lansing speakers and when i had a problem with it and contacted customer care.....it was the people at plantronics who responded with a call! This setups up my new PC. CanYouRunIt says i can run Crysis Warhead on Recommended!! now to get some PC games... suggest few.
