ok guys; just got the following set assembled.

can you suggest me other h/w that will complete this gaming PC of mine??

CPU - Core2 Quad CPu @2.83 GHz

RAM - 3gb (how do i check what DDR version it is? i had asked for G-SKill DDR2; hw do i make sure it is?)

Gfx Card - Nvidia GeForce 9800 GT

DVD Drive - LG hl-dt-st dvdram gh22nS50 (how do i check the transfer rate?)

Sound card - its got realtek HD audio. good enough? or what else? will be using my altec lansing 5.1 channel speaker system with this comp now

MOnitor - Benq 24" G2412HD

i am guessing a cooling set would be needed;

anything else? any tips?

It will be DDR2 RAM for sure. The only way to check is, to open up your Cabinet

The onboard soundcard with your motherboard should be fine. If you have an amazing audio set up and are an audiophile then look for an add on soundcard. Else its a waste of money.

Plantronics is pretty good. Grabbed a pair with the mike for 1K. Fantastic piece of kit.

went to get it....

the lowest model they have is plantronics audio 350 and it costs 2k!

what they have for 1 k are moserber headphones and something called smart(had hell of a lot of features)

I was doubtful so didn't purchase anything

what do u suggest?
