my DVD drive is gone and I wanna install windows 7. Any suggestions how to format and install win 7 without disc? I never done it with HDD ( did a lot of time but only with disc), so can anyone tell me how to do it with HDD? I already set my first boot priority to HDD but its not talking boot. Also, is there any way to do it from pen drive? There is no option to set it to pen-drive

a very basic question

how to partition a HDD???what are the prerequisites???

no prerequisites you just need to get hold of a good partitioning software....or you could use the disk management service if you are on vista.i would personally recommend acronis disk director...never goofed up during all the time ive used it

Hi Everybody,

I am having an issue with my PC here. It runs for a few minutes after boot-up and then just freezes..

If i press the reset button, the motherboard does not post immediately. The power goes off, then comes back. This happens for a few times before the system boots. After it boots, the thing hangs after a few minutes.I have tried

1)Reformatting the sys.

2)I even took the mobo to the dealer and there it was working fine. The processor does not go above 45 degrees and the motherboard 37. So i dont think its overheating. What may be the problem?

Please help me out guys as i am stumped with this issue...

WTF is this thing that its using 10 gb :scratchchin:

u can install WINDIRSTAT software . in case u donno, it gives a coloured chart of files on the hdd/or single drive. huge files occupy huge space, small files occupy small space on the screen .see which files are occupying huge space n delete them. its really handy if u hav a hude hdd . i usually use it to delete ne files which r of no use.
