memnom
it might sound skiddish bud did ur friend apply Thermal Interface Material? or thermal paste? Even if he did make sure u get something like AC MX2 for 350 or something and apply it so the temp would get down a bit. As far as the OC level, i meant how far have to Overclocked your processor? since u haven't its no problem. but do check whether the TIM has been applied or not. anish81
Thanks a lot for ur help guys..the prob of pc shutting down whn running programs wich uses high processing power is solved..The problem was overheating issue... one of ma fren removed the heatsink...i cleaned it with water..thr was sme dust in it...put it back..its working well... But the other prob still exists...pc suddenly shuts down...dis happens @ particular timings...i guess its due to power fluctuations..will get a UPS soon.. ma config AMD Phenom 9950 quad core 4 gb ram.. don hv any additional GPU...using inbuilt 512 mb gpu.. i doono wat u mean by oc level n stuff.. dude, check ur smps. This sort of a problem happens due to a faulty power supply unit. get ur smps checked. Also in extreme case it can be caused by some problems in ur motherboard also. peace

The problem does't happen always...it only happens in a particular time... i.e b/w 6 50 - 7 30.... in all other time its fine..oly @ this time..guess power fluctuates a lot @ dat time.... m-JeRi
Hi all.. I have 3 Internal HDD's and 2 Ext HDD's connected to my PC. A genric 450w PSU. I have few issues, Any ideas? 1. During Video playback the player gets stuck and the HDD light blinks continously. and i have to kill the app from task manager. sometimes i cant access that HDD again after that and have to restart the machine 2. Sometimes one of my HDD's just disappear from My computer. I have to restart my machine many time. I use Win7 and KmPlayer.
memnom
The PSU cannot handle the load mate. Upgrade it to CM 460 if u dont want to spend too much or Tagan 500/Corsair 400 if its ok for u spend 3k. At this rate the rate of failure will get compounded and u dont want to loose the data on them do u? P.S just before that try changing the player to SMplayer or Mplayer and try once. if again the same sh@t happens then u have no choice but to upgrade. dante77
I think I have the same problem like SA. My PC shuts down automatically (ofcourse direct and not properly) just like BSOD but its not BSOD. It just shuts down suddenly . I don't have high end PC. No graphics card, P4 processor. I just wanna know if it is my UPS?
dante77
thanks SA for saving my time. I think I have exactly the same problem as SA I guess it has to do with the power supply...will be getting an UPS soon...The problem does't happen always...it only happens in a particular time... i.e b/w 6 50 - 7 30.... in all other time its fine..oly @ this time..guess power fluctuates a lot @ dat time.... same here. It happens only like 2 or 3 times in a day and when it happens I have to wait for like 10 mins to start again because of same reason as you

devil_angel
Guys I have serious UPS issues as of now..... The problem is I don't know how to maintain a UPS.....last week the battery was totally dead.....so no backup...... And so I left it in charge for several hours together.....no use.....still battery dead....the I kept it in charge for 2 whole days continuously (apart from the running time).....still dead....so I though the battery is compelety dead and left it like that and been using like a junction box for 2 or 3 days now.....suddenly today morning, power failiure and backup turns on! eventually it went out in seconds! It is to be noted that I have a double battery UPS (The Microtek one).....and I have been having this issue ever since I connected my 360 also to the UPS.....Could it be that or is it just a fault from the UPS? I believe I still have battery warranty left ! Can anyone help me out here....This is a real headache now! Thanks!
