landmarktiger
I am looking for a laptop/desktop specifically for starcraft 2 and maybe diablo 3 next year that will be able to play them at max setting with consistant 30+fps. Anyone can suggest a laptop/desktop that can do this or configure one for me. (Cheapest possible ). Im thinking i need atleast an i-7. Not sure about clock speed or RAM or which graphics card. Thanks. Edited August 19, 2010 by landmarktiger

pArth
Okay... a noob question... Can i upgrade my laptops GPU ?
landmarktiger
What is your budget? Well budget is not a concern. It should be the cheapest possible while just being able to play SC2 at ultra(max) settings with a smoothe framerate even with many units on screen. Maybe diablo 3 also next year but dont know what system specs that game will use. I know i-7 with 4-6GB DDR3RAM would be enough but no clue about graphics cards and which version of i-7 to go for(i beleive there are cheaper versions also?). Hard drive is not a issue(200GB would be enough), dont need BD drive. Would prefer 1080p screen on a laptop and for desktop i could just connect to my LCD TV? Joy
Okay... a noob question... Can i upgrade my laptops GPU ? Yes you can but not by yourself , those who take apart laptops as their job might be , it has its fare share of troubles as well , you first have to check the compatibility of GPU with motherboard and power requirements. Read this , will show u how technical it is - http://www.pcworld.com/article/148909/upgrading_your_laptops_graphics_card.html Edited August 20, 2010 by Joy
devil_angel
Guys everytime I need to loginto my GFWL profile, my modem gets restarted. When I tried resetting my IP, it works after I restart my PC, but the next time I power on, it's the same. So, every time I need to login I need to reset my IP and restart my PC. Any way around this issue?

Spend 2.5k more and get the 1 gb version.
