rahul
^ Pushy has a Twin Frozr III edition? I'm actually not yet entirely sure about the gpu in my rig. Yet to decide between a 560 Ti TF II and 6950 TF III.. It's just a 1k difference between the two. Will need to check with local stores soon..waiting as much as possible to see if the price dips any further.

No lights, no sounds, fan is not running. CPU is not booting? I'm gonna go ahead and assume by CPU, you meant the tower as a whole. In that case, your PSU is likely blown or something's wrong with the motherboard. 1) Check all the internal conections. 2) Use a different PSU and see if that works. But how soon can I expect either of the next gen cards to appear? Mesa wants to play battefields thr33

rahul
Yep I meant the tower. I don't have a different PSU. I'll check the internal connections now. Hmm.. well, if you know the different kinds of diagnostics to carry out, do them. Else it's just better to just hand it in for servicing. I had a similar problem with the household desktop recently. Trying to switch on the computer would take down the entire house's power supply. I'm 70% sure yours is a PSU problem. When you're replacing it, get a branded one.. I've got a Mercury SMPS installed right now. Cheap, but meh, it's not my machine.

piper
guys which is the best overclocking utility for MSI cards... i have a 9800 GT.. how much difference will i see after overclocking... and is it worth... I've heard that MSI's own utility Afterburner is good. Is OCing a life-changing experience. Probably not, but its great for games which are at either the lower border of framerates (and OCing will give a small framerate boost) or for games where your card almost manages the highest settings but 'Enthusiast' settings require OCing. For all things OC, ask Pushy boss.
Pushy
yeah, for OC'ing, use Afterburner, should be in ur driver cd that came with the gfx card. as far as performance after the OC goes, it depends upon the game and the amount of OC u are able to achieve, but usually you get the 10-15% improvement. high end gfx card net most performance from OC'iing. you should check out the reviews of ur card and check the Overclock section in the review, should give u a nice idea about how much ur gfx card can OC and the corresponding performance.
