If you get a motherboard replaced from the same family as before, do I need to install the operating system once again? Right now, I got the MOBO replaced but the situation is

  • Windows doesn't boot at all. It keeps restarting before the "Starting Windows" logo comes
  • Windows boot and I get a blue screen dump
  • The display just goes off
  • The display comes very late on the screen when I start the system

Does ASUS replace with a used MOBO or a new MOBO? I fought a lot with those bastards but they say that we have a repair warranty and no replacement warranty. They were not able to explain the issue(as expected). They replaced it with a used piece which they claim has the same warranty period as my faulty MOBO had.. I was like WTF!!! How would I know how much this MOBO has been used?

Reps :wOOtjumpy:

Get NZXT lexa S at 4400 , epic looks with 4 fans included and bottom mounted PSU ....

You can also see NZXT Guardian 921 - 4000 - probably the SEXIEST cabinet I have EVER SEEN ! just see the pictures yourself but this does not have ventilation as good as Lexa S and has a top mounting PSU

Also check out Cooler master 690 II advanced with side panel at EXACTLY 5k , A GREAT cabinet , a choice worth considering ..

Anytime you change a motherboard, it's best to either reinstall the OS or use the 'repair' feature if any. I would still recommend a reinstall.

And odd to hear about the repair/replacement issue. They should replace it, all other manufacturers do so.

I did some research and came to know that my Internet Connection Sharing service was stopped. I tried starting it but it shows an error

"The Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) service on local computer started and then stopped. Some services stop automatically if they are not in use by other service or program"

Please help me :(:helpsmilie:

This Rashi Peripherels has bunch of sh*t technicians working there.. Have escalated the issue and wrote a long, rude mail to ASUS. Let's see what happens.

My CPU temperature has suddenly shot up to 75 degrees. But my system temperature is only 44 degrees.Aside from random freezing, I have not faced any other problem. However since overheating is a serious issue,I am concerned.

BTW,my config is

AMD Phenom II X4 945

2 GB DDR3 RAM

ATI Radeon HD 5770

Gigabyte MA785GMT

Reps to anyone offering proper advice. So please help. :helpsmilie:

3 things you should do

1) replace thermal paste

2) clean heatsink

3) clean cabinet fans for blockages

Report temperatures after that .

Thanks for the advice.Repped.

But do u think it is advisable to replace thermal paste when my PC is only 15 months old.
