shockwave
Intel C2D E8400 - 7500 ABit IP35-E - 5200 Corsair HX620 - 6000 (you could also opt for 450w for around 3k) CM 690 - 3700 Logitech Keyboard - 500-1000 MX 518 Mouse - 1200 Total : 24,300 Rest you can spend on a good 22" LCD. Get a good headphones aswell. If you already have an LCD get yourself logitech g15 keyboard for 4400 and Ip35 pro instead of E depending on what you intent to do on the machine besides gaming. Possibilities are endless.

Grimmjow
babloos , i am not sure about this but there are hardly any applications which utilize 4 cores...most of them are still on 2 cores and in gaming E8400 beats the Q6600, while its the otherway round in video editing Clearly those more interested in gaming are certainly better off with a Core 2 Duo for now, as even the Core 2 Quad processors do not provide a performance advantage to justify the added cost. The Core 2 Duo E8400 has really stirred things up even more for AMD as this new Intel processor features a 6MB L2 cache, operates at 3.0GHz, uses a 1333MHz FSB and is built using a 45nm design process. In other words, you get its incredible performance for just $183. Edited August 16, 2008 by Chaoster

And can you please tell me where will you find a q6600 below 8k? i REALLY want to know because even i am looking for one. And if you don't find it (which i am sure you wont) then dont bullshit. I forgot adding ram and hdd .. but dont tell me you can't f**kin choose an hdd yourself? you can't expect spoon feeding. And, i am not a seller here who is trying to sell stuff to earn money .. i just gave my suggestion for your budget. By all means go ahead and add Q6600 or hell QX9650 to your rig if you are able to. i dont give a flying fornication. And when i said possiblities are endless i MEAN it .. it is for you to decide what you want finally and where you want to make adjustments in combinations. Sheez helping a thankless person is the last thing i'd want to do. Edited August 16, 2008 by shockwave
Aman27deep
Yes he can though the rest of system has to be up to stuff otherwise its all gone to heck. And since he's waiting for GTA4, makes more sense to upgrade then in November. I can't wait till November as my sis is getting married in Nov, and its an arranged marriage so my parents will not buy me anything, i can't get a 9600 gso as it will require a Power-supply upgrade as well, that would push my budget times more, my pc specs are: E4300 1.8 ghz2 gb RAM (1 GB 533mhz + 1 gb 667 mhz) Viewsonic 17" monitor Asus P5Gz motherboard Creative 2.1 speakers and one of the most gfx card eva made, Zebronic 7100GS 512 MB
