piper
Cool, even I feel that 1. Corsair is a good reliable brand. 2. 600W is decent enough keeping future upgrade(s) in mind. 3. 3yr warranty is good enough, should suffice. 4. 80plus certified so it is a high quality PSU Getting it for Rs. 4000 from PrimeABGB, anyone tried that site? I will find out from local retailers as well.

Rey
Guys, how is this config, for current and upcoming "high-spec-needed" games? Core i7 3610QM (2.30GHz), Nvidia GeForce GT 650M(2GB DDR3), 8GB RAM, 1TB HDD. For how long it can future proof me? A rough estimate? Thanks. MoonStruckHorrors
@piper: Got CX600 from flipkart for 4k. Runs really silent, has 2x 6-pin connectors, makes me happy. Edited July 28, 2012 by MoonStruckHorrors
piper
@moony : It is listed for 4450 on FK. Only PrimeABGB has it for 4k (+ shipping i suppose). Two 6pin connectors, you just made my day there

piper
^Saw that, a little bit of an overkill, plus no invoice so not certain of Corsair warranty providers will accept it as-is. It is the CX600 for now, I'll be going to SP Road coming Saturday so have time until then to change my mind.
piper
Listing of PSUs with max load at 12V : http://www.realhardtechx.com/index_archivos/Page447.htm The CX 600 gives max 480W at +12V load, which surprising given it is a 600W PSU. Anyhow, will probably go for it unless some better deal for say, a GS600 turns up in the next week. And overall, Corsair appears to be a preferred brand over CM if owner reviews and feedback are taken into account.
i_rock098
Even i would give a to the Crosiar Service, they replaced my dead PSU in 3 holy days!!!!, that is the fastest RMA i have ever got.
piper
I have another contender in the PSU race now : http://www.flipkart.com/seasonic-s12ii-520-520-watts-psu/p/itmd5xz5hzvzt9cx Compared to the CX600, it gives same power output, is probably more reliable+efficient (Seasonic makes best PSUs going by reviews), and a 5yr warranty. What say?
Big Boss
Yup, Seasonic is good. In fact, most Corsair PSUs are manufactured by Seasonic. However, the one you listed is not 80% certified. It is mentioned that it has 87% efficiency. Better check out some reviews and then consider it. Also, I am not sure about RMA service of Seasonic in India. piper
I have checked reviews, it is 80 plus bronze certified and reviews are excellent. I believe Corsair RMA is great, but anyone having any knowledge or experience of Seasonic warranty/RMA in India?

Rowlot
I believe Corsair RMA is great, but anyone having any knowledge or experience of Seasonic warranty/RMA in India? My Seasonic PSU was broken on arrival and it took me more than a month to get any news on my replacement(through ITDepot). I gave up and purchased Corsair. For PSU prefer the one with service centers in your city.
piper
^Which city are you from? And from what I have figured out, Seasonic after sales is a hit or miss. I will have to check with some local dealers to figure out where the service center is. Corsair has the after sales service part down perfectly. Apart from the doubt over after sales service, the Seasonic 520 is definitely better than the CX600. If I do order the Seasonic, I will do so from Flipkart because of their 30-day replacement guarantee. And I believe if it is not DOA, then it should work well for long.
