IMHO, dont bother urself with all those sites. Just go to Filehippo.com(provides only freewares and sharewares, so i think its legit to post the site here) and download some application(preferably 5 - 10 mb in size) using Internet Download Manager and see the real speeds for urself.

^Ram can be gotten for less than 2K now, and as far as i know E2180 is for 3200 and E2160 for 3000 and for a 4.5kgpu u can also consider X2600XT which beats 8600GT in some tests

i got 2GB Transcend 800 Hz RAM module for rs.1700 from lamington rd.

Open up the cabinet - see if anything's touching the mobo (other than the parts that are supposed to). Push in all the connectors - the processor also.

If nothing works, open up the cabinet and run the PC. See if the processor fan suddenly stops, and this is followed by a hang.

And lastly - not sure if you can do this - check the smps if power is being supplied correctly.

seems to be an issue with SMPS usally failing SMPS. Also the processor fan...try one more thing go to bios and set everyting to default...looks more of a hardware issue then a software issue...

Uncle Sam, me facing same issue here, frequent restarts or restart after long hours, it's SMPS problem dude,U and ineedZ to change teh SMPS to solve teh problame.

if u has warranty left on ur SMPS, tell teh beetches that "SMPS won't take load", then they will either replace it or repair it.

or if u r out of warranty, buy a new one, a good one(Coolermaster recommended coz even me going after it)

here http://theitwares.com/smps/smps.htm iGoes for 600W one or if iMom agrees to shell out more, then iGoes phor corsair 650W.

btw i dunno how much i should go phor, in future iWill buy 8800 GTX so which one u guys recommend?

me rig:

CPU Type QuadCore Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600, 2400 MHz (9 x 267)

Motherboard Name Intel Pearl Creek DG31PR (2 PCI, 1 PCI-E x1, 1 PCI-E x16, 2 DDR2 DIMM, Audio, Video, Gigabit LAN)

System Memory 2044 MB (DDR2-800 DDR2 SDRAM)

Video Adapter ATI Radeon HD 2400 PRO (512 MB)

Disk Drive WDC WD2500AAJS-00VTA0 (232 GB, IDE)

Optical Drive LITE-ON DVDRW LH-20A1S
