ALPHA17
bro any Linksys increased my budget to 7 to 8 k Not too sure of their performance so you might have to pick a few models that are available from flipkart.com and other e-tailers and see which one performs well and falls in your budget. Here are a few links that might come handy -- Cisco-Linksys routers @flipkart.com. Cisco-Linksys routers @homeshop18 The IT Wares a.k.a. E-Lounge Bombay, Lamington Rd. Ph3N0M
What do you mean by "download master"? I haven't put it to too much load, except sharing internet among around 10 of my hostel neighbours(2 wired, rest wi-fi). The router has a very special feature called download master, it allows one to download directly to a ext storage device without keeping the pc running, try it

Have never felt the need to try it. Why don't you look for some impressions of that feature on Google? PS: Is that feature available in DD-WRT too? ALPHA17
^^ I think all routers with a USB port on it should support that feature OR no?

Ph3N0M
^Though I'm pretty sure DD-WRT should support that in any router with USB.

HotSonix
ok after doing some research and help from you guys ,going for core i3 3225 as it contains a better graphics core of intel 4000 hd with 16 execution units, which is similar to the graphics core integrated into Core i7 and Core i5 CPUs series nut they are way much pricey. Will buy when launches in india around nov -dec. Why don't you look for some impressions of that feature on Google? PS: Is that feature available in DD-WRT too? That is the most important reason for me getting it, i have a really slow internet connection and i blew up my pc just recently by keeping it running all night long for downloading, taking no risk this time. ^^ I think all routers with a USB port on it should support that feature OR no? Nope all of them dont.

Please advise Yes, PCIe 3.0 cards work fine on PCIe 2.0 slots. However, if you have the budget for 650Ti, why not look at a higher card in the Nvidia 5xx series or AMD 7xxx series. It'll cost you the same and perform well enough. ALPHA17
Hi Experts, I have following PC config 1) Amd Phenom 9650 Quad core processor I am planning to buy one of the following graphics card * GTX 550 Ti 1Gb * GTX 650 Ti 1Gb Where GTX 650 Ti is pci express 3.0 so my question is will i be able to install GTX 650 Ti on my motherboard ? or it wont just fit on it.. ? Most important question, which SMPS / PSU do you have? If you have some local piece (iBall, FronTech, Mercury OR Zebronics) then I suggest that you go for a better SMPS + graphics card, look at the following options -- Corsair CX v2430W ~2700/- Cooler Master GX450W ~3300/- Seasonic S12II 520W ~4400/- Also, in your case the processor will be a bottle-neck for the new graphic card. So you might want to consider that. If you can spend as much on a GTX650Ti, I say it will be much better if you look at the following options -- AMD HD7850 1GB ~13500/- (priced similar to the GTX650Ti) AMD HD7850 2GB ~15000/- (pricing is increased but it performs at par OR better) AMD HD7850 2GB vs. GTX650Ti benchmark run AMD HD7770 GHz edition ~9500/- (priced inline with the GTX650, outperforms it and more efficient) AMD HD7770 GHz vs. GTX650 benchmark run The PCIe slot form factor is uniform across all versions, so backward compatibility is maintained (like USB 2.0 --> 3.0). Also none of the current generation cards performance suffers if you put it in PCIe 2.x card slot. The GTX550Ti is too old a card and I do not recommend for the same reason. Hope this helps, Cheerio! However, if you have the budget for 650Ti, why not look at a higher card in the Nvidia 5xx series or AMD 7xxx series. It'll cost you the same and perform well enough The GTX650Ti performs better OR at par with the GTX560Ti and consumes lesser power to boot. No other card apart from the HD78** is in his budgets purview (Indian pricing).
