HD 202 II costs Rs. 2290 on FK. I prefer good rotation on the cups so will probably go with Sony. Advantage of Sony, I can walk into a Sony Center and actually have a listen to their headphones before buying. Same with Skullcandy.

No idea on the headphones, what do you want to use them for? And what is the source?

Primarily music, gaming and movies in that order. With PC and PS3 (don't worry about connectivity, I've got that fixed).

I'll give them a listen and see if the bass is as good as it claims to be. Also, what's with the headphone burn-in concept. Should I do that with my new set, if yes, then how?

@KJD, I know about you having a similar issue, and that's why I want to try this GPU with another PSU. But I've found several cases of similar problems due to PSU. This coupled with the fact that I was able to get display from GPU(one of such occasions happened when I inserted the power cable, and switched on the PC almost simultaneously) after many tries leads me to believe that the PSU is at fault. And yes, I am getting display from the onboard graphics(which is where I am posting from). If the GPU is at fault, I am confident that Amazon will handle that case well if it comes down to that, given their excellent track record. I just don't want that situation to ever come, as that will mean at least another month before gaming on this PC.

PS: I have to anyway change the PC at home in the near future(it's 5 years old, and almost broke. Will be changing that one over the course of the next semester). The new one will be a basic ~20k build(i3 Ivy bridge, 4-8GB RAM, 1TB HDD, cabinet and PSU), without a discrete GPU(for now). What I am thinking is to buy just the PSU for that build right now, and use it until Corsair sends a replacement. What's a good PSU for a minimal build like this? Will I be able to "try" booting from my GPU(HD7950) with this PSU, assuming that just booting won't take up that much power?

I've heard good things about Corsair RMA especially in major cities.

I researched a fair bit and bought the Seasonic S12 II 620. You can have a look at Seasonic as well, they are supposed to be the best makers of PSUs (even used by Corsair/CM in their high end as OEM).

^^ Seasonic used to be an OEM for Corsair's original VX and HX series SMPS, since line refreshing they have been replaced by other companies. About their service network I have only heard good things in Bombay and Bangalore, else everywhere it is pretty much non-existent.

Yup, Seasonic is good but I haven't seen them sold anywhere in Lucknow, so I doubt they'll a service center here. Will prefer a company with good RMA policies like Intel. Gave my board for RMA 4 days back and got an SMS now that a replacement has been shipped. In contrast, I had a terrible experience RMA-ing a couple of G-Skill RAM modules last year. Took 3 months for a replacement. :|

@KJD/Ph3nom: Something similar here as well. Glitchy display, random BSODs, reboot cycles etc. The mobo was at fault as confirmed by Intel.

Mine works flawlessly on on-board graphics and also flawlessly on GPU when it wants to work(i.e., whenever it happens to boot with something to display via the GPU).

Yup, best to get a hands on in such cases.

Burn-in is more of a placebo effect, you get familiarized to the audio signature of the IEM / can in question and it sounds 'better' OR Worse.

G.Skill products are shipped to Taiwan for replacement, they do not have an India based centre for such things.

I am already using a TVS mechanical keyboard which is now almost 8 years old and works fine, but now want to get one with back-light. Any other brands? Might increase the budget if required. How about Razer keyboards?

150$ keyboard, can't afford this much. Also its better to go for Corsair K90 which costs about 100$ though its ridiculously priced in Indian market @10k. So any other option for saste mein masti? ph34r2.gif

yeah man,,mechanical gaming keyboard with backlight, way to costly,I was in a same dilemma as yours. I was using TVS gold mech keyboard, the only problem is while gaming at night,it make lots of noise and I have to keep my lights on - not good for my partner sleeping at the same room. I used a usb led light for some time but typing sound still messing around. Finally I got steelseries merc stealth for 3599 INR from flipkart. Its membrane based, has a unique layout for gamers, you need some time to get used to it.. I took around month to get settled. Now its fun for me.

After using a mechanical keyboard, I don't think I can go for a membrane keyboard considering the fact these keyboards don't feel solid and typing fast on them is pain in the a$$, at least for me. So possibly will adhere to my TVS keyboard only.

Though, thanks for you suggestion.

Also which headphones are good in gaming? BUDGET - 3k max

I am eying on these brands- razer, sennheiser, ttesports and maybe sony.

Alpha bro thanks for suggestion but these don't seem to be that good-

Corsair vengeance headset doesn't seem solid enough and looks like will break easily.

Ozone spark is permanently discontinued on fk. don't know about other one.

How would you rate these headphones?
