The Wolfy among us
Have been running the RTM version of 8.1 till date. I've not got a update on the store. What to do?
Bird Bird Bird
RTM is release to manufacturing, so you already have the latest one.
The Wolfy among us
Agreed, but RTM will receive any further updates, or bug fixes.
Bird Bird Bird
^^ Wolfy, the current release IS the RTM one. Whatever everybody downloaded and installed is the RTM version. That is what RTM is. Once a Win OS goes RTM, the release is not tampered with until Service Packs are integrated.
vinayakb
Dhakkan mod, download using your net and then switch off the router.
The Wolfy among us
Abey, I understand what you mean by RTM. But with windows the "RTM" version is free to download and use, and is not the actual retail version.

But with windows the "RTM" version is free to download and use, and is not the actual retail version. AFAIK, only the Preview is free to use. RTM is made available to MSDN subscribers and OEM manufacturers. Dhakkan mod, download using your net and then switch off the router. I know, hence the smiley in my post. I just meant that it did not give option of offline account (I doubt I overlooked it). Normally that option would be visible during Win8 installation regardless of internet availability. But not in Win 8.1.
Bird Bird Bird
Abey, I understand what you mean by RTM. Methinks you're confusing the Win 8.1 Preview. I know, hence the smiley in my post. I just meant that it did not give option of offline account (I doubt I overlooked it). ALPHA17
^^ The OEM is Huawei, model is EchoLife HG533 (got to love the naming). Either way, seems it is a good enough piece. More details here. Why do you want to get something else, some specific requirement or some such? Hope this helps, Cheerio!
Heaven Angel
Thanks. I installed it. It was pretty easy. Why do you want to get something else, some specific requirement or some such? Well, I thought if it's going to be crap, I'll sell, but it turned out good. No particular requirements (~60-100USD max). Just PC and phone..If possible connect TV.
