I bought this RAM in April 2012 for 1568 and now it is for 2899 :O

When did RAM prices go this high? And people say RAM is cheap?

Both have a USB 3.0 port.

I find the Circle one to be more appealing and having a better design geared towards airflow.

Is eBay your only option of purchasing a cabinet? Where are you based?

It all started with the hard-drive price crash and subsequent rise after market manipulation.

I think a similar situation was created for RAM prices here, an artificial scarcity was created and then the prices were raised. And the prices remain where they are.

I am based in Mumbai. Nah I was just browsing on ebay for cabinets in that range. I am trying to shortlist products for upgrading my rig...

^^ What is your budget for the cabinet?

I would suggest you look at the following options,

  • Cooler Master N200 / N300
  • Bit Fenix Outlaw APAC Edition
  • NZXT Gamma / M59

Hope this helps, Cheerio!

Thanks! My budget for the entire rig is 40-45k. Not sure about individual components. And i will possibly upgrade in late Jan or early Feb...

Sure, sure, what is your current configuration.

We can build something that can fit in that budget if we can reuse some older components for the interim. And Bombay has Lamington Rd. so price and availability should not be a major spoil-sport. Cheerio!

Hi , I am looking to buy a graphic card. As my primary gaming machine is a console I just am looking for a cheaper one that can do 720/900p on most new games on high/ultra at 40+ fps:p... (And maybe games releasing in 2014)

I currently have a AMD 955 Black edition and 4gb corsair vengeance. Current g card is shitty GT210. Haven't played any game on my PC since 3 yrs.

So please suggest some options around 8k (??).

Planning to play CS:GO and maybe BF:4.

^^ thanks. So far looks promising and the one I need. Will try to see if someone can get it from the us. In Flipkart it is around 12k.

What about 1GB versions?

Edit: Go for AMD HD 7770 if you can't get GTX 650 Ti at low price. =)

Also, post your specs?

I came across a used Kingston hyper X 240gb ssd sata 3.0 6gbps for 9k.... I don't know the wear and tear it has undergone... How do i find out?

Next I will be using it for my Flight Simulator X and mebbe some other games is it suited for faster loading of textures and less stuttering....

Is ssd faster than 2 7200 had in RAID 0...

The ssd box mentions 3yr warranty and I guess this drive has been launched in mid 2012 so i will be covered by minimum 1yr warranty.... If worse comes to worse...

Am confused this is my first ssd hence no experience...

Where did you come across this SSD? How old is said product? Who is the seller and reason for selling.

That should be enough to let you know how good or bad the SSD's state is.

About stuttering, I don't think your SSD can do much on that front.

Ah! Okay, those guys are pretty reliable. Buy it after confirming warranty on it.

Power Supply - I think it is 500W. (Might be 400 as well :( ).. Not sure. Will check and let you know

You in Hyderabad, right?

If yes, CTC is where you should head. Best prices and most probability of getting the right stuff.

Also, confirm the SMPS once before purchasing anything. Don't risk a brand new card on a cheap SMPS.
