ALPHA17
Want to buy an external 1 tb hdd . Which one is best? Budget - 4.2k Buy local (cheaper) and following brands / models, Transcend Storejet 25M3 / 25H3P Seagate Backup Plus Western Digital My Passport series since my ps3 has conked off am considering going the pc way. but i want to be able to connect the pc to my hdtv & play the games on my couch with a controller/gamepad. do all pc games support that or will i need a kb/mouse? whats the budget i'll be looking at to build a ps4 equivalent (will be starting from scratch)? You can start from scratch, it will cost you ~50,000/- sans the display. It will not be as slim / compact as the PlayStation 4. You will have to treat it like a PC and not a console, so that means a certain affinity for the hardware and its maintenance. Price will be affected from where you source components. So following questions, Hard budget Expectations Apart from all this, you can go through STEAM for keeping tab on whether the games you will purchase / plan to play are controller friendly or no. They are divided into, No controller support Partial support STEAM BIG PICTURE optimised (best support and custom profiles) Although I suggest you get a decent keyboard and good mouse for navigation around the desktop and competitive shooter scene on the PC. is there any way i can buy a normal (non gaming) laptop for regular use and then when i want to game connect it to some dock which will allow me to play via hdtv & my av receiver? will regular laptops have ps4 like gfx? No, a non-gaming laptop or for that even a budget laptop has no hope of matching a dedicated gaming console in the graphics department, maybe the upcoming AMD Richland APU based SKU's will close the gap but you won't be able to run titles at the same fidelity as a decent PC (of same price) / PlayStation 4. If you are okay with all this we can get you sorted with a RIG. Cheerio!

I have to refresh around 2 3 times to fix it: and im getting the Webpage Unavailable alot of time. Could it be a trojan? I inserted a pendrive of a friend and forgot to format it before opening and it had some type of virus. Now im having these problems. ALPHA17
^ Scan for virus and malware with Malwarebytes and your Anti-virus application. If there is something fishy between these two it should be detected and flushed. Otherwise, just reinstall your internet browser completely and see if it makes any change. reddevil23
@miz I am facing these issues too on Firefox and Malware bytes hasnt detected anything. I get the issues on only a handful of sites like OLX and most of the major websites open fine.Chrome doesn't face these issues and all websites open fine on Chrome. playstation
Yeah! Lifetime warranty on these things. Don't worry. Get it locally. Not online, there the price is higher to cover their own expenses and margins. i bought san disk for now as i need soon...i wll find the local prices of the corsair as well. Btw any suggestions for a HDD.. need above 500 gb hdd...may be even 1TB...price and warranty is important?? 1 year warranty is too less...2 year is okay but 3 year woudl be best to go for. Internal, external? If it is internal, two years warranty is the best you would get unless you want to shell out more cash exclusively for the warranty. Get a Seagate barracuda 7200.14 / Western Digital Blue Edition 1TB. About external drives, you would have three years standard warranty on most of them, please confirm before purchase. In external drives I suggest, Transcend Storejet 25M3 Western Digital My Passport Seagate Backup Plus Hope this helps, Cheerio!

With current generation hardware, no. As long as your friend is only gaming he should not see too much of a performance hit.

He says he also plans to update his processor this year later on, so here is his motherboards supported processor list, which would be the best one to buy upto a budget of 10k, it would be great if the processor can keep up with current gen i5 or if luck is on his side then i7, i don't know the equivalence of AMD with intel so please help http://support.asus.com/cpusupport/list.aspx?SLanguage=en&m=M4A78LT-M%20LE&p=
