ALPHA17
^ Store and actual hands on depends on where you are based. The options you have on hand, Cooler Master STORM QuickFire Ultimate Cooler Master STORM QuickFire TK Corsair K60 / K70 mechanical keyboard Although why do you need such an expensive keyboard for playing DoTA II, cannot a good mouse (LOGITECH G600 / G300, Corsair M90) and an average keyboard do justice? Also, make sure you go through all the Cooler Master CHERRY key options. Blue, Red and Black are available in India if I am not mistaken. Don't even think of purchasing Razer peripherals. They have very dodgy build and pathetic after sales here. Anyway, hope this helped and welcome to the forums, Cheerio! RyuKeD
Hi Alpha, You probably don't remember but somewhere earlier in one of the threads you had made some recommendations. I needed some more clarification on these and need to understand why you recommended them. Here: CPU: INTEL CORE-I5-4670KMB: Z87-PRO MOTHERBOARD ASUS (Not decided to move to Gryphon)RAM: G-Skill Ripjaws DDR3 8GB 4GB * 2 (Change made)Storage: SEAGATE HDD 2TB SATA 7200RPM (Baraccuda suggested, need more details)SSD: KINGSTON SSD 240GB SATA (Samsung/Crucial suggested, need more details)Graphics: VGA CARD GTX 760 2GB DDR5 (MSi Twin Frozr GTX760 - Change made)DVD: LG DVD R/W 22X SATAPower: CORSAIR POWER SUPPLY HX 650 WATSCooling: CORSAIR CPU COOLER H80ICase: CASE CORSAIR 300R (400R suggested; but 300R has the transparent thingy - why do you recommend 400R?) Please if you could give me more details on why you recommended these? Most importantly, why Gryphon over Z87 - PRO? -Anup
ALPHA17
^ Hi RyUKeD, the reasons for the changes, hard-drive, the Western Digital Blue Edition and Seagate Barracuda class drives are 7200RPM which is the best performance / price compromise. There are cheaper LP / Green Edition drives available from both companies but the impose a significant performance penalty. Which is best to be avoided. SSD, SAMSUNG is currently the only company in the world (if I am not mistaken) that makes all the components it puts into its SSD. The controller, the NAND flash and everything in between, their current generation of 840 / 840 PRO / 840 EVO drives are some of the fastest available SATA SSD's currently. Crucial is a memory company and has been one of the few decent alternatives to SAMSUNG drives. They use their own in-house Marvel controller on their SSD's. Cabinet, the Corsair Carbide 400R is a far more advanced cabinet than its contemporaries. Better design, better airflow, better cable-routing, in-fact it puts even more expensive models to shame with its approach. I would suggest you not compromise and go for the 400R over any other option. Motherboard, I thought you would be heavily over-clocking and since you are in a location like the Mid-East, the better build quality of the GRYPHON would come handy. Either way suit yourself. Hope this helps, Cheerio!

The one thing that makes me smile though is the highlighted red part. Why did you say that? Is there a technical reasoning here or was it a jab at the deserts, lol! -Anup
ALPHA17
^ No jabs. The GRYPHON and SABRETOOTH class motherboards in ASUS's line-up have certain build materials that make them more to wear and tear and particular weather phenomenon like, corrosion via high humidity and proximity to the sea (salt content in vapour), higher / lower operating temperatures. That is why I had placed it above the Z87-PRO. Nothing else.
RyuKeD
Hi, Yes, I thought about it later. Sorry for bugging you but if you look at these: Some key features "seem to be missing" with the Gryphon and it is 200 AED cheaper. Am I missing out on anything important here? ALPHA17
^ The major loss with the GRYPHON is the smaller form factor and fewer expansion slots. Rest the boards should be on par.

ALPHA17
is this normal? cpu fan is loud!! 5000~6000 rpm Too high, maybe you should try to check what settings are up in the BIOS / UEFI for the CPU fan. Overall, I don't think it is abnormal if it is keeping the temperatures low. Also, does the fan run at this speed all the time or only whilst operating under load. Anyway, have a look in the UEFI as I said earlier and download AMD Overdrive to check settings via GUI in Windows itself.

ALPHA17
Ps4 and PC gaming. Okay, pretty much the only respectable option you have. Other panels to watch out for, ASUS VG248QE DELL Ultrasharp U2312M Catleap / Achieva Shimian Korean panels (only available from eBay.com and sans warranty) Hope this helps, Cheerio!

RyuKeD
Hey Alpha, Gaming Keyboards and Mice; stuff made by Razer - is this worth the money? Also - can you recommend some good but modest options for Keyboard/Mice? Razer is expensive as hell but I'll have to get it if I don't find alternatives. -Anup Edited January 15, 2014 by RyuKeD
ALPHA17
^ No avoid them. I won't recommend them to anyone unless they are okay going through multiple pieces. What is your budget, hand orientation and what games will you play most?
