piper
Guys, I've got a Linksys e900 router. For the past two weeks or so it keep disconnecting and connecting. The internet connection from the modem is fine. Just that the wifi signal keeps switching on and off randomly. Could this be due to some setting, or is the router dying ? You can do it. Pacifier
Well i have one weird problem.. I am using Win 7 Home Premium and for some reason, a new User Account is getting created. it is having a random name as well. like pxygtdxtxyqy etc. I deleted it last week and magically when i booted my laptop today again, it is there again and deleted it again. Running net user <username> on cmd prompt didn't give the source of the user account but at least it is not on administrator group. Not sure what is causing it to show up. I do have Eset Nod32 Security that creates a new user called "phantom". But that was created long back and i am starting to see this problem fairly recently. ALPHA17
Sounds like some malware/virus. Uninstall ESET (from quick search, only ESET users are facing this kind of issue) Download MSE and Malwarebytes Run full scan Run sfc /scannow Yeah! Google search confirms that ESET anti-virus users are getting this issue. Which is weird and no virus is detected at the end of this. It is related to Anti-theft where it has asked me to create a phantom account on my PC. I got that created and named the user as "Phantom" as well :|. This was long back. But now, when i login to anti-theft website of eset, i see that phantom account username is the random name that keeps getting created. So ,for now i have changed the phantom username in PC and on the website as well. Lets see what happens now. Thanks again.

STEAM is easy to use, you can even use it with Android devices as of now. Just go to STEAMpowered, register yourself and that is all. Any PC games you purchase will come with a key-code, redeem it here and its yours for life. It also automatically gives you Sale updates, maintaining a wishlist for games (and when they are discounted) and coordinating over messaging and VoIP. Achievements are equivalent to trophies on console, you don't get any Platinum's though, games you complete the trophy list for are listed as being 'finished' in your STEAM library. Most games are integrated with controller support although any form of competitive / multi-player shooter and RTS titles will benefit if you get proficient with the mouse and keyboard. You don't need to master it just get comfortable with it. Games which support controllers are listed as so in the STEAM library with different grades of proficiency, mind you that some games are completely devoid of the same. Again, what is your budget and other questions will come up whenever you talk about building a PC. Finally, take a look at this spiffy guide by Joe on STEAM and how to use it. Once you are clear on getting a PC and how, we can proceed from then on. Thanks again. No worries, as long as you are safe and not compromised. =D
Agent 47
Hey guys, what UPS is needed for a 750W PSU. I'm currently using the APC 600VA UPS. It works fine, gives me back-up (during power cut) too but when i'm playing a game, it starts flashing red and beeping after 15 minutes of my gameplay. Also, if i'm playing a game and a power cut occurs, the PC shuts off. Doesn't give any backup. Can someone help me out..Thanks

ALPHA17
You forgot to mention Badges and Trading cards and Steam Levels There is nothing analogous to that on consoles, as far as I am aware and Joe's guide deals with everything in detail. I would suggest a 1KVA minimum for your needs, back-up is dependent on your configurations power draw. Examples I will manage to assemble PC my myself or i have many friends who will help me with this I can adjust my budget in requirement or say upto 50K.. again i can manage if more is required to fit my gaming purpose I want to build a rig that can assure a high 'all max' settings or a little bit lower for atleast a year or two. games should run SMOOTHLY .. I think i'll read how to use steam or refer Joe's Steam guide, that's not an issue for me. building a good gaming rig is. They are similar in a way Also increase your budget to like 60-65k you can get like a i5 4570/GTX 760 setup in that much If you want to max out all games increase budget to 80k-1L you can get i5 4670k/R9 290 i5 4670k is overclockable and hence much more future proof and VFM And the R9 290 is the most bang-for-buck card on the market right now Edited March 26, 2014 by CdrShawnzer
