Heaven Angel
Okay i asked a dealer here, he said that get i5 4670K with Asus 287 PRO as GIGABYTE has some service issues Alpha dude, that config you gave is all based on cabinet i decided? i.e Crosair 400r or 500r then don't, suggest me on a performance base not on cabinet. Cabinet toh koi bhi chalega !!
Sackboy
Cabinet has very little to do with the internals unless you are buying a top end card which is too big for a small cabinet. Nothing in your config is based on your cabinet.

Agent 47
That covers the cabinet. I believe monitor is also connected to UPS (specs of monitor). And what else is connected to the UPS (e.g. speakers, washing machine )? The monitor isn't connected to the UPS. only the System and Speakers.. As Sackboy stated the cabinet does not affect your component choice unless you plan to purchase the cheapest stuff to save on cash. Okay, i don't know but that crappy dealer said that to me , and he said that this rig gonna cost about 1.5 Lacs what you gonna do with it? i said gaming and he was like .. OK.. Get price quotes from multiple sources and try to pressure the best dealer (in your opinion) to give you a good deal. Worst comes, get everything from flipkart or some Bombay based shop (with shipping option), catch your friend and assemble it and learn. No i don't think i am going for over-clock, unless you'all say, can't decide right now. let's say 80 to 90K.. ALPHA17
Want to go what you suggested, but also have to check it's availability, warranty, service and above all pricing this GIGABYTE B85M-D3H Motherboard is quite cheap compared to Asus 287 PRO .. and it's after sale service is good over here, what's your advice? Yeah! Purchase the GIGABYTE motherboard. The ASUS one is more expensive but it does not hold anything for you, primary reason to go for it is over-clocking which you will not do. So not worth a purchase in my books. Simply use the money saved to go for a SSD and the MSi R9-290. Is there any place in Delhi where I can get Saphire R9 290 Tri-x for less than 36k? (I'm in Pune but my dad goes to delhi often so will have to arrange a deal) Just go for the MSi Twin Frozr cooler based OC edition. It is available for ~34500/- at SMC International. 1.You dont need to buy Hyper 212 EVO if you are not buying i5 4670K processor,Stock Cooler(the cooler what comes with the processor) will do for normal i5 4670 The Hyper T4 / 212 EVO will be good investments considering he stays in Surat and the Haswell processors run pretty hot from the get go. 2.Get Sapphire Tri-X R9 290 instead of the MSI one The MSi card is just as good if not better and acoustically outshines almost all cards in its price band. Corsair 400r or 500r Avoid the Corsair 500R. The 400R is a better cabinet and do take a look at the Cooler Master N400 and above cabinets, they don't look like much but surprisingly well appointed interiors. Also, add a SSD to the mix, purchase a SAMSUNG 840 series drive (for OS and long-term installed applications) from onlyssd.com. G.Skill RIPJAWS 8GB x2 1866MHz (or Crosair) G.Skill is better in my opinion. Edited March 26, 2014 by ALPHA17

Everything seems good, do consider a better motherboard, a micro ATX form factor motherboard is something I cannot recommend and a single PCIex16 slot will limit you to one card, keep your options open so that you can buy another R9 290 second hand cheap some years down the line and go for crossfire. SSD is not worth it unless you are finicky about load times and I have had bad experiences with them as they are very volatile. Extra cooler is not required, you cannot overclock with that setup, go for extra case fans instead. Edited March 26, 2014 by Sackboy

You or what You are recommending a MSI card over the Tri-X knowing about the heat issues, expensiveness and stock cooler design of the former? Said motherboard supports a CrossFireX system. And ideally, don't suggest a multi-GPU set-up then, it raises costs. He would have to get a better cabinet, a better CPU heat-sink and better SMPS all for 'future' needs that may or may not be needed. SSD is not worth it unless you are finicky about load times and I have had bad experiences with them as they are very volatile. Extra cooler is not required, you cannot overclock with that setup, go for extra case fans instead. SSD is a God send in most modern multi-player titles, even the older ones give you a decent boost in performance. Extra cooler will be handy because he is in Surat, it gets hot there in summer, more than Delhi or Gurgaon.

ALPHA17
You didn't mention Twin Frozr in Heaven's context Stock AMD R9 cards are not worth the price and I would never recommend them. And the only reason to recommend MSi cards is because of the Twin Frozr cooler.
