So how much do you think it'll cost me?

At-least ~3000/- -->4000/- for the cabinet (Cooler Master N200 / N300).

~6000/- for a closed water loop cooler.

And another ~6000/- for an entry level SSD.

also will the n300 and the likes be enough for my rig ...handling heavy games and stuff??

Yeah! It will be enough, in-fact I would have recommended you going for a N200 if you are really intent on setting up a closed loop water cooler and keeping the dimensions of your PC small. The only downside is the lack of 3.5" hard-drive bays.

what about a 64gb ssd??

Too small to be of any actual benefit.

You can set it up like a giant cache so it might benefit the system overall but it will not match the performance of installing the OS and day-to-day applications on a dedicated SSD.

^ Pick a laptop from the following offerings @flipkart.

The AMD APU offerings will be competent for light gaming which the Intel Core i3 / i5 based systems are not recommended.

Is there any difference between a slim external HDD compared to a fat external HDD in performance.

Define fat and slim?

You will notice a difference in performance and it will depend on what standard you are transferring data over. Older USB 2.0 drives will be trumped by the newer USB 3.0 standard drives.

What i meant was the fat ones usually come with an external power source while the slim ones don't.I wanted to know if it matters in any way. I think newer drives are coming with USB 3.0 support

They are equally bad. Although the slim ones at-least are portable.

Newer drives have transitioned to USB 3.0 but not all.

ASUS / HP (boxed) optical drive
Cooler Master N200 / N300
