Max Pain
I am having a problem with this Seagate Barracuda 500 gb HDD. It is showing "Reboot or Select a proper boot device" error at the start up. And the hard disk is not being detected in the bios also! I tested it with another desktop, but still no luck! It is showing the same error! I installed many movies and software programs in that hard disk. Can't loose em all at any cost! Is there any way to recover the data or repair the HDD? It has warranty till January. 2015. But I donno how many days it would take to get it repaired! Please help me guys!

ox-
First off, you will need to replace that VIP SMPS, not sure how it has lasted so long but now that you are in the market for a change, upgrade to a decent 500W from a reputed company. In my opinion the Seasonic S12 520W should be your aim. For graphic card, either the AMD R9-270X or nVidia GTX 760 is what you should get. The GTX 660 just is not upto scratch against these cards. Sent from miG Don't you think that CPU might bottleneck the performance when paired with a 760 or even a 270X maybe? I'd sugges to go with a GTX 750ti, it would work with his current SMPS too (but changing it is highly recommended) ALSO I think the 565 model isn't X4 it's X2 Edited July 27, 2014 by ACidDrinkeR

GTX750Ti is not even in the league of decent cards as of now. It will be out classed by the time titles like The Witcher 3 are released. ALSO I think the 565 model isn't X4 it's X2 You can 'unlock' it.
varundbest
I installed BF4 and turned on Mantle and full Ultra in settings, now i'm getting this error - "Display driver stopped responding and has recovered" even when the game is not running and i'm just browsing, i've uninstalled 14.6 and upgraded to 14.7 but problem still persists.... Now i think i should go for 14.4, what say?

ALPHA17
Shoot the suggestion.... But mind u don't make it very expensive budget 30 to 35k You can try the following, keep a bar of ~40000/-, inclusive of the SMPS, Intel Core i5 4670 / 4690 (non-k) GIGABYTE B85M-D3H GTX760 (you will need to upgrade this in two years or so dependent on how the generation progresses) Seasonic S12II 520W Alternate AMD build, AMD FX-6300 ASUS M5A97 R2.0 [graphic card and SMPS same as Intel] Maybe get a new cabinet / chassis, if you need it on top of this. That is all. Hope this helps, Cheerio!

Street prices move up and down quite regularly now a times. For cabinets I would recommend the following, Cooler Master N400 / N500 / N600 Corsair Carbide 400R NZXT Source 530 Hope this helps, Cheerio! P.S. -- Where are you based?
