Ethan Hunt
Â I will look into it. Â Just rumours. MSi recently changed its India RMA operations - probably the old guy was spreading false rumors.
varundbest
@varundbest : have you OCed the card. If so, roll back to stock clocks. I didn't overclocked it. I changed the pci-s slot from 1st to second and its working now, maybe 1st was screwed or it was loose...
goneforever
I dug out an old hp net book. The model no is 110-1047TU. I'm thinking of upgrading from win XP to 7 in line with the other laptops. It's got 1 GB ram and an intel atom 1.6 proccy. Will 7 be better?
ALPHA17
Actually Windows8 would be better although you will not enjoy most of the new animations and smooth transitions implemented in either of the new flavours. Â Best course of action would be to stay put on XP or go to Linux and learn how to operate that, at a basic level. Â Sent from miG

ALPHA17
Ubuntu or Puppy Linux would be best.Try to pick a distribution which has wide spread support and go for the long term builds rather the latest and greatest or night runs.Sent from miG Edited July 29, 2014 by ALPHA17

varundbest
I know this is PC thread but i am thinking of buying a new phone (I currently have, Xperia L). I was thinking of Xperia Z, coz it looks good, water-proof and specs. My main criteria - Battery Life, Music (4-6 hour a day so need good quality, i have earphones but a good phone with decent sound processor will do wonders), Looks, Camera and performance. Out of these, main focus - performance, camera and music, minimum 24 hours battery life with 3G.

Heaven Angel
Chromecast enables you to stream content from the chrome browser. Anything that is playable within the browser can be streamed. Â Dedicated applications: Youtube, Netflix, Pandora, HBO Go, Hulu, ESPN, Google Play and few more. Â Supported formats: MP4 and WebM only. Un-supported formats: AVI, MKV, FLV, MOV, VOB and 3G2 Â For un-supported formats, you'll need to install 3rd party apps (RealPlayer Cloud/Wondershare DreamStream/Wondershare Free Video Converter). Â You can also stream your computer media. However there is loss in video and audio quality and sometimes it just doesn't work. Currently in BETA stage. Â Based on your location, you can buy it from eBay / Amazon. Edited July 31, 2014 by Heaven Angel
hussain
Amazon is available for 3200 ... i want to buy it for my dad. .. he always finds it difficult using his phone to watch movies and is to lazy to use his computer and pen drives and such ... so i want to know if he can download movies and play movies on the tb using chromecast
Heaven Angel
Since downloaded movies are mostly .MKV or .AVi, you can't play them unless you convert it to MP4 or WebM. Â After converting, you can stream it via Chrome app. However, there are few issues. Like video limited to 720p, audio not coming from TV, no subtitles and lags sometimes. Â Honestly, the whole convert your video kills the entire purpose of Chromecast. I'd rather transfer it to my UBS stick and watch it on TV with zero issues. Â Anyways, here's a tutorial: Â Edited July 31, 2014 by Heaven Angel

bneck
For a PC that is used more for work (photoshop and other adobe software) vs gaming, what upgrade would make more sense - RAM or gpu? I currently run on 8 GB ddr3 1600 mhz, asus nvidia 550 ti and an i5 4430 @ 3ghz.
