dullu
I have a MSI GTX 680 OC card that i got from the US....might be looking for an upgrade....Any idea if the R9-280x will cut it ? Also; what price should i be looking to dispose off the current card ?
ALPHA17
might be looking for an upgrade. Either you are wanting to upgrade or no. There is no middle ground, be firm on what you want to do. Any idea if the R9-280x will cut it ? Deprecating on whichever edition you get, it will either be slightly better or worse off than your current GTX 680. Not really an upgrade. If you want to purchase a new card, wait for AMD and nVidia to release their latest and greatest later this year. Sent from miG
dullu
Thanks mate...I usually stay a step behind in terms of gfx hardware because of the price/performance ratio....hence was wondering if it makes sense to upgrade right now or can my card hold up another year or so .. Heaven Angel
GTX 680 OC can hold for another 6-12 months. Wait for nVidia to release their latest card. ETA: Late September - October.

LeonardoInventions
Looking for a new monitor, budget is 15-16k & narrowed it down to following two, please suggest which if the Viewsonic VX2452mh would be a good choice? I was angling more for this one as its an IPS panel but Viewsonic one has a better GTG response time. Suggest any else if both of them are crap(?) ALPHA17
^ Following, DELL Ultrasharp U2312M BenQ XL series of gaming monitors (not IPS but better for gaming)
LeonardoInventions
XL series is a bit too much for my budget at the moment Checked the specs of the U2312M, would that 8ms response time be a handicap? ALPHA17
Checked the specs of the U2312M, would that 8ms response time be a handicap? It can be, yes. Although most Ultrasharp users in my circle have not said voiced any complaints.
