Run Whocrashed. It might give you more details. Useful tool for reading crash logs if they are being created. Check your eventvwr too to see if there is any log created at the time when your PC crashes.

Hi,

I am using a D-Link DIR 605L as a modem for my internet connection (by Spectranet). It's a "WAN modem". I bought a D-Link DWA 132 Wireless USB Adapter for my Desktop PC so I could get a wifi connection on it. A wired connection is not possible because the modem is about 30 ft away and I don't want wires hanging about going from room to room.

Now, the DWA 132 is for some strange reason not compatible with Steam on the 605L.

Can you suggest which USB wireless adapter I should buy so there is no problem with Steam at all?

The tool was pretty helpful and this was the report generated by it :

I have 2 seagate 500 gb disk connected in RAID 0... Now i have one spare wd green 500gb disk which i would like to use as another backup drive in my system.... I will be saving movies and some essential stuff on this drive.... Pls don't suggest using an external enclosure cause I had done that that and it ruined my data and made my hdd useless....

Now i tried installing this drive by connecting to the sata port on my mobo... It gets detected in the bios and raid menu but not in disk management in win7 64 bit... Even after running scan again it's unable to detect it..... I know the drive is working since i created a partition and formatted it with ntfs file system in diskpart...

Pls help or am I missing something here...

^ What ports are running in RAID mode and which ones are running in standard SATA mode.

Because this third disc is not set-up in RAID and the SATA controller has RAID set-up for some ports the hard-drive is undetectable.

guys, i got my 1 tb wd passbook hdd today ...it says 3 years warranty but when i try to check it shows 10th may 2017.

It should be from today's date right 9/14/2017.....sala 4 mahina kaha gaya??

You registered it or no?

so now what do i do ?? return it ?? i have opened and all.

No, go online, register he product. If it still shows four months of warranty forfeit, mail the CC and request an extension.

Western Digital product warranties are only applicable once you register them online and verify it. In India, they come to your door to pick up and replace a faulty hard-drive.

1. Why do you want to store back-up data on Dropbox? Size of content transferred = data bandwidth used. If you store 1 GB content online, it'll take 1 GB bandwidth.

Also, Dropbox allows only 2 GB storage for free.

2. To create partition: Open disk management (run diskmgmt.msc) -> select the drive -> create partition.

Now run -> format x: /fs:fat32

(where x is your new drive)

You can also use standard method. Right click on the drive -> format.

3. 5 GB transfer rate gD6gyr8.gif; you're joking right? What's your drive model and RPM?
