Looks like my Sapphire Radeon HD 7850 2GB GDDR5 graphics card has gone bust after 2 years. The system doesn't boot when i connect it to the motherboard. Boots fine if i remove it.

Anyone know the name of the service center in Bangalore?

Any idea if they insist on the bill for warranty?I bought it as part of a new rig in 2012 and don't have an individual bill for it.

Contact pbpoovannagamer, he has experience with them and should give you the latest information with respect to them.

They are close to S.P. Road although I cannot tell which building exactly. And ideally warranty is given against the serial code of the product, having the bill does not hurt though.

Hope this helps, Cheerio!

What PSU do you have? Maybe its not able to power the system now with the GPU installed?

It was doing fine for two years, so unless he has got a sh*t SMPS, that should not be

hi guys

My first post :)

I am planning to build my pc, maybe by next month. here are the parts that i have chosen :

Processor : Intel i5 4690k

Motherboard : Gigabyte GA-Z97X-UD3H

CPU Cooler : Corsair H100i

Ram : Corsair Vengeance (8x2) GB Kit DDR3-1600

PSU: Corsair RM650 or Seasonic SS-650KM3 650 Watts

Video Card : Asus Strix GTX970

also a 120GB SSD if I can get it for cheap or just a normal 2TB HDD.

I am confused about the power supply, I have read that RM650 is not value for money despite having 80+ Gold efficiency as it uses poor grade secondary capacitors.

I also want to ask, whether a price drop on the above items is around the corner, basically will it be worth to wait for some time or should I just go and splash the cash.

and yes suggestions are always welcome :)

Thanks...

Cool, thanks.

I have a Seasonic M12II 520W SMPS. I don't think that's the problem as the PC boots and works fine without any problem after removing the GFX.

Welcome to the forums ishito.

Are you going to over-clock your PC? If yes, what margins you looking at?

And yes, the Corsair RM series, not worth it. I would suggest you get a Seasonic SS650-KM3 if not that a semi modular Seasonic M12II 750W.

also a 120GB SSD if I can get it for cheap or just a normal 2TB HDD.

Get a 180GB or larger SSD, 120GB is simply not enough.

No price drops are imminent, although depending on where you stay, Diwali discounts might make the cost come down by a few thousands.

So I'm changing the CM Thunder 600w.Budget is around 5k.

Confused between:

Antec VP650

Seasonic S12II 520W

Using R9 270X and FX6300. Also how difficult will it be to replace the PSU. I don't wanna carry the rig to get it replaced. Will it be as simple as unplugging wire from one PSU and plug to another?

Hello experts!

I'm facing a strange problem with my laptop. It's ASUS ROG G75VW with Windows 8.1. Recently I performed a clean format of the system and this is when the problem started. The sound coming out of the internal speakers have reduced a lot. Even at max volume, I can barely hear anything. The same is happening if I connect a headphone with the laptop. I've already deleted the sound drivers and installed fresh ones but in vain.

Can someone help me?

Is there a device that can be used as a hdmi splitter??

For example, I want to connect my laptop and ps4 to a monitor via hdmi, but my monitor has just one input, so is there a device that can take two inputs and one output to the monitor, and I can switch between the inputs ps4 / laptop by using a switch

Go for the Seasonic units, eyes closed.

It will be a labour intensive procedure as all the components need to get rewired again.

Go to your sound control panel from the volume icon in the corner panel of the desktop, from there, select your preferred audio device, go into Advanced TAB and disable the Exclusive Mode if it is Enabled.
