hey alpha how is i7 4790k for gaming, will it be good for 3-5 years? is it better then fx 8350? and how will it work with my 'sabertooth 990fx' (motherboard)

That is an Intel processor, it will not run on your current motherboard.

I7 4790k craps all over fx 8350

But for gaming it offers minimal improvements over i5 4690k

I5 4690k again craps over FX 8350

So save money and buy i5 4690 + H97 motherboard.

Btw the reason your FX 8350 sucks is that single core performance is not good.Games like GTA4,Skyrim,any AssCreed game benefit from strong single core performance in an i5

Like i said i7 4790k is pointless for just gaming

Save your money and get i5 4690 and a H97 motherboard from a reputed manufacturer like Gigabyte,Asus or MSI

I7 will just get you 2 fps more than an i5

Yeah i'll think about it surely and one more question

since intel(above processors) supports 4 cores,so will they work fine for gaming after 2-3 years?cause bf4 handled 6 and 8 cores

Yes.

Currently most games use 2-3 cores

With exceptions like BF4,Crysis 3 etc.

Anyway you should upgrade a CPU in 4-5 years

is there a way i can turn off aito shutdown?

If it is a thermal emergency which forces the processor to auto-shutdown for its safety, no, as far as I aware.

I think the old thermal paste on your CPU is done, you need to open up the cabinet, do regular maintenance, clean out the dust from the fans and innards, reapply the thermal paste.
