Btw the reason your FX 8350 sucks is that single core performance is not good.Games like GTA4,Skyrim,any AssCreed game benefit from strong single core performance in an i5 Sent from my Asus Zenfone 5 using Tapatalk Edited November 19, 2014 by TechBaba

Currently most games use 2-3 cores With exceptions like BF4,Crysis 3 etc. Anyway you should upgrade a CPU in 4-5 years Sent from my Asus Zenfone 5 using Tapatalk

ALPHA17
^ Are you on a stock CPU cooler? Also, check for temperatures using this application and confirm the same by using a secondary application.

ALPHA17
is there a way i can turn off aito shutdown? If it is a thermal emergency which forces the processor to auto-shutdown for its safety, no, as far as I aware. I think the old thermal paste on your CPU is done, you need to open up the cabinet, do regular maintenance, clean out the dust from the fans and innards, reapply the thermal paste.
