ALPHA17
^ Try to reset the CMOS by removing the button cell on the motherboard after pulling out the power plug. This will end up resetting all the local BIOS settings on the board, should be a start. Also, install this application Driver Booster, it automates the update process and any outdated drivers that might be causing this issue will also be cleaned up. godspeed4476
^ Depending on how old the laptop is and if it has any warranty, it should range between free -->500/- or so. Anything more than this and you should just Google your laptop series maintenance video. Laptop is close to 3 years old it still has 2-3 months of warranty left. HP envy 5 1025tx. I would not feel comfortable tinkering with a notebook, i used to do it with a home CPU. Do u think this would be covered under warranty, will give them a call and try to have it sorted
ALPHA17
^ Yeah! Call for onsite support. Should set you up. Mention that you would like your thermal paste, redone.
Kushagra
Hello everyone, I'm looking to purchase a new monitor but have no idea what's latest with the tech on that frontier. I need advise of the experts to help me with my purchase. I'll be mainly using it to browse and watch movies, further down there are plans to hook it up to my Playstation. I found this monitor to be decent http://www.flipkart.com/dell-u2414h-23-8-inch-lcd-monitor/p/itmdw3z86vgen3hg?pid=MONDW3YHMVR5F46K. Thoughts? Any input would be much appreciated. Cheers
ALPHA17
^ What's your budget? Check these pieces by ASUS and BenQ @flipkart (Skip the ASUS PA, PB and MX models) if you are going to do mostly media related work and gaming on this panel. You want to get the fastest response time possible out of a monitor for your uses.

You want to get the fastest response time possible out of a monitor for your uses. Hi, budget is 25k and I'm looking at a 24 inch panel. Like I said earlier, I'll be connecting it to my PS4 so if quick response time is better for it then I'll be looking at whatever options that are available. Could you please list 3-4 models for me? How about the Dell model, the link for which I posted earlier? I really like that layout and design. What are your thoughts on it? Thanks for your quick response Edited February 27, 2015 by Kushagra
ALPHA17
^ The DELL Ultrasharp models are better for colour accuracy but do not carry a fast enough response time, if your budget was limited to that price band, you could have picked it up. But since you have the budget go for the models I shared on flipkart, try to get in touch directly with BenQ / ASUS India about sourcing their monitors. Gaming keyboard is very dependent on your actual budget for the same, I would recommend a Cooler Master QuickFire TK Ultimate or if budget is tight, a TVS Gold. Membrane keyboards are not worth spending thousands of Rupees on, better to just get a good Microsoft or LOGITECH wired keyboard if that in that case. ALPHA17
^ The PCIe standard is backward compatible to a point, if your PC was five plus years old, then it would have been problem, yes but you should be good for now.
