Agent 47
^ No XFX and ASUS used to share the infamous Rashi Peripherals as their after-sales partner. Those were days where it was routine to joke about doing special rituals and animal sacrifice to appease the spirits and get a replacement component if you ever had the misfortune of having to apply for an RMA. MSi as far as I am aware is pretty straight in their dealings. Can I have your case details though, I can try to see find out what is the hold up. Cheers! I have asked my vendor for the ticket no. should have it by tomorrow..will share it once i have it..Btw does Rashi still exist or are they shut ? NitroNeo
So i am going for a i7 6700k and going with a noctua nh-d15 or a nh-u14s. Is it a good choice ? It will serve better than a hyper 212x but can it keep up eith the corsair 100i. The shop guy called saying the d15 was out of stock & suggested me to get a h80i or a h100i. But a friend of mine who has the 100i says water coolers have a life of 2-2.5 years and you need to buy a new one after that. I really want a d15 what should i do for this build ? The slightest judder / displacement of the tower is good enough to snap motherboards. There is only one importer of Noctua products in India, The ITWares in Bombay, get in touch with him and ask him for an ETA. The performance will be in line with high-end 280mm closed water-loop AiO's but to get the best you will need to have a really airy chassis with the depth to accommodate the cooler whilst whisking out the dead heat as fast as possible. The biggest problem though is once you put this thing in, to get the RAM sorted, the graphic card in and out or something in that area you will be hard pressed to find the clearance without removing the cooler. Also, please note depending on how dusty your environs are you might have to regularly clean your interiors to keep the cooler fighting fit. On what basis did your friend say that? If you want to purchase the Noctua, purchase it once it is in stock.
NitroNeo
My friend has the h100i for 4-5 months now. Since he is busy with work i never actually got to see his rig in action. He said you can't refill the water in the h100i and you have to change the cooler after 2+ years. I assumed the water evapurates ? I don't know much about water coolers so had to take his word for this. Do you know for sure that the h100i wont need refilling after 2-3 years or so. Choosing a cooler is a issue for me. What type of maintenance does a h100i require ? Sent from my SM-N900 using Tapatalk
ALPHA17
^ No, the water coolers do not require refilling. There is a reason they are called AiO (all in one) closed loops. These are not custom loops which require regular coolant top ups and check for leaks. If a unit is found to be leaking, it is replaceable under warranty unless you are culpable for the cause of the leak. Also, water coolers have a longer warranty to go along with them (up-to five years on the top models), so there has to be something to back it up else we (that is a company) would loose a lot of money to RMA issues. For H100i type of coolers, just keep the system clean and you should be golden.

Sent from my SM-N900 using Tapatalk go for the H100i.Like alpha said,ek kilo ka cooler will surely snap your board in half, plus getting dust out of those fins nope nope nope Oh and what your friend said is pure BS,the H100I doesnt use water afaik, but some other coolant, also its All in one cooler,so no refilling required, its not some messy custom loop which require distilled water and all the H100i carries a warranty of 5 years,Another plus of H100i is that Thermal paste is pre applied and it is easy to install. You need space for 2 top fans in your chassis though,so keep that in mind
ALPHA17
^ H100i (or really any closed loop cooler) uses a mixture of distilled water and a couple additives, not exactly sure what is the composition.
NitroNeo
Ok so i went to ABGB on 17th this week. Back then the guy didn't even mention the D15 shortage now he did this afternoon and said it will take 15 freakin days to get it. I don't even know if this is a min or max timeframe. I did call again to enquire if they have a nh-u14s in stock. The guy says he is busy and can't talk. I understood this when i first made a couple of enquiry calls last week. But now when my cheque is cleared and they have the payment. They still don't give priority to me who is without a PC. It is bad enough that they are making me wait for the msi 970 4g for 4-5 more days but that is ok. However maing me wait for the system for 15 more days is not. Seriously this laid back indian nature is everywhere. Is it like i am a saint who has all the time in the world. I had some free time to game before my exam studies creeped up. I exoected a reputed shop to not have any delays like these. And if you have personnel shortage at the shop just hire a couple of people for the better of solving people's queries. It pains me how westerners have ease of a geekish life and we have to scrap for the basic services. This is nothing,TheItWares guy is much worse in terms of laziness and not knowing sht.

NitroNeo
My friends did cheque payment and their orders went fine. Lady luck tends to screw me time n again. Also one guy bought the exact sane d15 and the cooler master 693 cabinet like i did and when his pc was being assembled that day. The abgb guy told me inly the ram and graphic card were a delay factor for me. He did not say anything about the d15 and now once they have the money they go and be honest. Seriously no one should have to wait this long this isn't 2008. With a shop so big and products shown in stock on the website you need to give proper service. ALPHA17
^ As I said Noctua has only one importer for India. And even for him getting the top of the line in India is not viable. He would most probably waiting on his monthly shipment (for September) or would have placed an order for you. Things could be much worse. Do not ask about how certain things are in this country. Sent from my SM-N900 using Tapatalk Well, once they know they're getting your hard earned $$$ why would they bother with checking stock? typical indian attitude unfortunately. i wanted a Corsair 230T(Which was in stock on there site mind you,i guess the same happened to you regarding the noctua) from them, along with my GPU and Mobo,a day later i get a call saying the 230t was out of stock.I told them to send the Mobo and GPU anyway.I had payed thru CoD btw,now i realize if i had payed up front i would be fooked with stuff getting billed then magically going out of stock once the money is in ABGB's pockets
ALPHA17
Well, once they know they're getting your hard earned $$$ why would they bother with checking stock? typical indian attitude unfortunately. You two are both forgetting the fact that an accounting and sales software will not allow out of stock items to be billed. At-least that is how it is supposed to work.
