Kazekage Gaara
One thing guys Amazon challan does not have the serial no of the mobo Will it be difficult to claim warranty if its dead after few years?? Shouldn't be a problem. Another step you can do is, you can register your Asus products on the Asus website. I created an account and added both my motherboard and my GTX 970 with the serial number, purchase details, etc. Hopefully, there wouldn't be any problems in the future while claiming warranty I think you get 30 days after purchase to register your product with them, but I've heard, even if you don't, there shouldn't be any problems since you have an official invoice Edit: I came to know about this, I think, after I installed my Asus motherboard drivers and something called "ASUS Product Register Program" also got installed and it guided me on how to register the product on their website. It even collected all the hardware info by itself Edited October 9, 2015 by Kazekage Gaara

Okay discontinued the discount. The wifi mobo that you have, I was getting it for 7.7k, but I went with my Mark 2. Nonetheless, if you're expecting the processor from them, first make sure they have it in stock. Check their Amazon store. If they do have it in stock, then you have good chances of finding it in an LD. Otherwise, don't wait too long. Trust me, I was getting it for 77xx, just a 500 buck difference from mine. I was seriously contemplating returning the Mark 2 and getting the Z97-Pro Wifi coz it had the M.2/Sata Express port. Anyways, see if you can hold on till Diwali. Hopefully, there would be some awesome offers and LDs. Another awesome thing that's going on Amazon right now is 10% CB on site and 15% CB on App on HDFC cards, which is really awesome and should help out in discounting your processor even further Edited October 9, 2015 by Kazekage Gaara
Kazekage Gaara
I did DETAILED RESEARCH on both the motherboards, down to the number of "power phases" each motherboard had and how many "lanes" were available to the M.2 port and how they were shared with other components on the motherboard, which in turn would hamper the speeds of the M.2 SSD. Finally, I came to the conclusion that I would prefer better components of the TUF Mark 2 motherboard and the extended warranty, and in the future, I can easily install a M.2 port PCIe 4x adapter and install the M.2 SSD. The lanes of PCIe 4x slot on Mark 2 are shared with USB 3.0 front ports, which I would never be using since I already have FOUR USB 3.0 ports on the back Now you know how deep my research went into deciding which motherboard to get You can say a tad bit on the paranoid side, but I loved it and gained a lot of knowledge about the inner workings of a motherboard PS: I can elaborate more on Power Phases and Lanes if you want Edited October 9, 2015 by Kazekage Gaara

With the Z170 asus users facing problems, me being one of them i was hoping to hold off the registration till i am sure i wont have to return the board in future for a new mobo. If i register this mobo & if i have to return it in future for a new board will registering it now cause problems, i received my PC on 10th sep & so donno if i can register today but will try if adviced by you guys. I was able to register the board, after the process was completed the product registration app took me to my asus profile page, under my support > my product edit info it showed [* For your own rights and benefits, please update the correct information of your product within 5 days from the date you registered.] The information is Product, series, name, serial number & Purchase Date [ already entered ] , Reseller Address, Reseller Name & Reseller Phone Number, in Reseller Name i changed it from Asus to Prime ABGB is that corrent ? Should i add their shop address & phone number before the 5 days are up ?

DinJo
I got this front fan installed I'm thinking of getting when i got the pc , I'm thinking of getting a good 140MM front fan any suggestions ? Is there any compatibility issues with 120 and 140 MM fans ? Any suggestions ? Also the back exhaust fan does not spins really fast same with the NZXT front fan. https://www.nzxt.com/product/detail/94-fz-120mm-non-led-case-fan.html

Also the back exhaust fan does not spins really fast same with the NZXT front fan. https://www.nzxt.com/product/detail/94-fz-120mm-non-led-case-fan.html So the linked fans are currently bundled and installed inside the chassis? They have a rated maximum of only ~1200 RPM ±10%, how will they spin faster than the rated speeds? There are no compatibility issues between 120mm fans and 140mm fans save that the latter generally do not have a very high RPM by virtue of their larger blades which allow more air to be moved at slower RPM. Please note that there might be chassis compatibility issues with larger fan types though. If you want good chassis fans, look at the Cooler Master JetFlo or the Silencio (silence oriented) series. Alternatives are the Corsair SP and AF series and Noctua's (I do not recall the exact model). My 5 days are up and for both my products, the reseller is the default "asus". What should I do now? Contact their Customer Care. Edited October 11, 2015 by ALPHA17
dylanjosh
Hey guys, I need a laptop for mom. For her work. 50k budget. Not for gaming obviously. Mostly for browsing net and working with documents etc. Should be fast, reliable and light. Also she wants it to have "all the latest things" as she put it. Could someone please suggest something.
