Kazekage Gaara
Gtx 970 or r9 380 which one n mobo too I don't know much about R9 380, but if you take a look at this... http://gpuboss.com/gpus/Radeon-R9-380-vs-GeForce-GTX-970 The GTX 970 wins in comparison. I personally own a GTX 970 and you would not believe how easy it is to OC this card. I can easily OC my card to 1500 mhz core clock and 8000 mhz memory clock speeds. As far as mobo goes, you can get any H97 series motherboard, be it Gigabyte, MSI, or ASUS. If you intend to OC your CPU, then I would suggest you get a Z97 series motherboard. If not interested in OCing your CPU, then the H97 series should suffice
pbpoovannagamer
hey guys, How to stream PC games wirelessly from my system to TV ? i am planning on buying a "smart" TV for my living room end of this month (decided on LG 43LF6300) which is on ground floor, my pc is on first floor directly above where the tv will be placed. I have a wireless xbox 360 controller. If i use this controller on ground floor will it work ? will the signals be sent to the receiver (which is connected to pc on first floor) without any noticeable lag ?? I want to try to play my pc games on the TV, obviously the ones like shadow of mordor etc which can be played without too much reliance on KB+M! will a wireless KB+M work in this situation ? I was told there are multiple options but i think must will not be good for gaming due to latency. I also dont know if running a 10 meter HDMI cable is a good idea. Does anyone use Steam home streaming ? is this good ? does it work? i have core i3 laptop so thinking of using this as my 2nd system connected to TV! http://store.steampowered.com/streaming/ i have 8 Mbps and wirless modem as well. please suggest! kmkaks
Simple Question : I got an offer to exchange my 6 month old Indian ps4 for a 1.5 year old pc with the following specs: Intel i5 4440 3.0 ghz Gigabyte B85M Mobo8 gb ram 1333 Sapphire amd r9 270x graphics500gb hdd Cooler Master 450W PSU Zebronics Case Is it a fair deal in your opinion? Will thic PC(with a case(Spec 01) / PSU(Seasonic 550W) upgrade and gfx card upgrade earlier next year) last till 2017 end(High - Ultra)?? P.N The origin of my dilema is because I follow a lot of these american websites where they always mention that the consoles are underpowered crap and all. mafia97
Well, that mostly depends upon the gpu you get in future. If you get something like gtx970/980, they can easily last till 2017 end. Yes the consoles are underpowered but games are more optimised for them. Yes, you can easily play with this pc with a good gpu at better settings than console till 2017 Sent from my MI 3W using Tapatalk

Will the skylake cpu's and ddr 4 pose a threat? Will i5 4440 last? Also Ive already finished Bloodborne and Second Son and not much else in the way of exclusive content anytime soon eh? SO it is not a bad proposition is it? Shall I proceed? Edited December 10, 2015 by kmkaks
mafia97
Yeah the i5 will easily last. It is better than performance in consoles CPUs anyway. If you compare to skylake, then yeah skylake is better due to obvious reasons but won't impact gaming that much. Unless you are getting a good deal on the ZOTAC!, I would suggest you go for the MSi Gaming series GTX970. Also, please change that PSU to something better. ALPHA17
^ Seasonic S12II 520W is what is needed. There is no 550W Seasonic unit, in their cheaper line-up. A good chassis in that price range would be the Cooler Master N200 or K380.

Kazekage Gaara
Looking for 2TB Internal HDD for PC , recommendation ? Find the cheapest 2TB WD or Seagate you can find, with warranty of course, and you should be okay
ALPHA17
Looking for 2TB Internal HDD for PC , recommendation ? What for, Data dump? Consistent usage? Constant access? If you are using it for any situation other than data dump, get the Western Digital Red / Violet Edition drives. Else, get a Seagate LP edition drive, more reliable and consistent than the equivalent Western Digital Green Edition.
SonicDave
Only play BF4 and DOTA 2 . Can anyone suggest a good laptop ? I'm willing to spend around 60k . ThanksTwo games with polar opposites of each other in terms of graphics requirements department. DOTA2 is light and so will run even on AMD APU's just fine, BF4 is not. 60k is enough to get a decent laptop for gaming. But IF you can stretch it to 70k then you'll find a few dedicated gaming laptops like Asus RoG or MSI Leopard. They should also come with GTX950 with other features good to have such as better cooling and full HD display unlike the non-gaming models which usually come with only 1366x768. Cheapest replacement for HD 6850 ? MB:-Biostar TA790GX A3+ - T-series - motherboard - ATX - Socket AM3 - AMD My PC is connected to 40 inch TV, use my PC for watching movies +1 to the GTX750ti. An option from AMD would be the R7 260X. The good thing about the GTX750ti is that it consumes less power than its competitors at 60-70w.Gtx 970 or r9 380 which one n mobo tooGTX 970 if budget is not that much of a concern. Don't let the haters (imb4 3.5GB screamers) sway you away from it.But don't rely on sites like gpuboss, cpuboss, <insert name here>debate etc. Edited December 12, 2015 by Sonic
SonicDave
Is sky lake better than the 5th generation ? Money n reliable wiseMoney and reliability are too vague a question tbh. There is only some 5-10% performance gain from one gen to the next. The two core i gen which stands out from the rest are the older Sandybridge (those i5 2500K, i7 2600/2700K models) and Haswell. If you are upgrading from non-core i family or the first two gen (Wolfdale, SandyBridge) then Haswell would be a good upgrade. And as for Skylake i really dont think that you'll notice the difference for non-4k gaming nor is it the best bang for buck. It will still take a while to become relevant. So Haswell gets the vote from me.Will the skylake cpu's and ddr 4 pose a threat? Will i5 4440 last?No Skylake/DDR4 will not pose any threat (for now).Yes i5 4440 will still last for a few more years (I think) for 1080p gaming. As for the PS4 I have little knowledge about it but why dont you try to find out how much its worth? Because from my calculation that PC should cost around 30-31k (approx value) in the market. And other than the processor and R9 270X GPU there is no other component worth mentioning. The motherboard B85M is an entry-level board, the RAM is Value model and you can get those HyperX 1600MHz for ~4k (i got a used 2x 4GB Gskill Ripjaws 1600MHz for 3k a few months ago), the PSU sounds likely to be a basic model which i wouldn't recommend, only 500GB harddisk which you can get it for cheap at an online second-hand market and a local chassis. I think that you'll be better off selling the PS4 and then buy better components by adding some $ from your side.
SonicDave
I am planning to get the Zotac gtx 970.The only reason why I would go for the Zotac is the extended warranty of 2+3 years. Is that why you chose it? Just saying that there are other better GTX970 models out there.Looking for 2TB Internal HDD for PC , recommendation ? What for, Data dump? Consistent usage? Constant access? If you are using it for any situation other than data dump, get the Western Digital Red / Violet Edition drives. Else, get a Seagate LP edition drive, more reliable and consistent than the equivalent Western Digital Green Edition. I keep hearing mixed reviews and feedback about "X-model" harddisks especially about the reliability part. Some says this, some says that. >_> I would simply get a 2TB Blue/7200RPM model. Decent speed, okay'ish reliability and probably has the best value of all models in the market. Else simply get a 2x 960GB/1TB SSD btw @alpha17 can you please edit and merge my posts? Quoting a few posts gives me the dreaded lag no my phone so had to make multiple posts. Sorry about the inconveniences. Thanks.
DinJo
I looked around and found that the prices of External HDD and Internal are not much of difference can get 2 TB WD or Seagate for 6500~ and for 5700 for internal i need for backup and archival purpose. ALPHA17
^ Then get a Western Digital external drive and be done with it. One year extra warranty sweetens the deal.
