Ethan_Hunt
I'm actually looking for the same (2TB internal) for storage purposed. Aren't the WD Surveillance drive the ones with 3 year warranty? Would they be decent for regular storage and access purpose? All the Green WD ones have 2 year warranty. ALPHA17
I heard WD elements had high failure rate Yeah! But they have pick and drop facility and international warranty which Seagate lacks. I'm actually looking for the same (2TB internal) for storage purposed. Aren't the WD Surveillance drive the ones with 3 year warranty? Would they be decent for regular storage and access purpose? Those would be the Western Digital Red's. SonicDave
I heard WD elements had high failure rateDunno about the failure rate but i had two WD Elements external drives, one died and the other one has started developing problems. There is also another smaller model called Passport. They seem to be much better in all aspects. All the Green WD ones have 2 year warranty. I should be more concerned about reliability issues than warranty. Won't need to replace it if it doesn't fail and failed storage are a nightmare, not the fact that your drive died but you lost your files. But like i said in one of my earlier posts there appears to be mixed feedback/random from the community regarding this. Just dont get the Green/Economy ones if possible. kmkaks
Yes i5 4440 will still last for a few more years (I think) for 1080p gaming. As for the PS4 I have little knowledge about it but why dont you try to find out how much its worth? Because from my calculation that PC should cost around 30-31k (approx value) in the market. And other than the processor and R9 270X GPU there is no other component worth mentioning. The motherboard B85M is an entry-level board, the RAM is Value model and you can get those HyperX 1600MHz for ~4k (i got a used 2x 4GB Gskill Ripjaws 1600MHz for 3k a few months ago), the PSU sounds likely to be a basic model which i wouldn't recommend, only 500GB harddisk which you can get it for cheap at an online second-hand market and a local chassis. I think that you'll be better off selling the PS4 and then buy better components by adding some $ from your side. The problem is that people are expecting the ps4 for around 28k which is bad. Considering it still has 6 months warranty and with the launch of the 1tb PS 4 for 37k. Edited December 21, 2015 by kmkaks
kmkaks
I got the PC for testing before exchanging with the PS4 and the perfomance of the i5 4440 is really good. I just performed the Unigine Heaven 4.0 benchmark. My PC got a score of 828 with avg FPS of 32.6 @ Ultra with medium Tesselation and 8x AA. Minimum FPS was 22.6 and Maximum was 62.3. Temperatures were at 81 degree celsius by the end of 3 rounds. Is everything fine considering the Gfx card is HIS R9 270x turbo cooled. Also I could get Decent 55 - 60 FPS playing MGS TPP Maxed and Mad Max maxed. Is there anything else I should check before confirming the deal? ALPHA17
^ Just have a look in the interiors, if it is dusty, have it cleaned and ask the last user to show you to apply thermal paste.

ALPHA17
^ Sorry, not happening if you are sourcing the components in India. If you want a PC that can handle 1080p gaming in the coming years, I suggest the following components, AMD FX-6300 MSi 970 Gaming / ASUS M5A97R 2.0 Kingston Fury 4GB x2 1600MHz (alternately you can get two 8GB sticks) MSi Gaming / ASUS Strix GTX960 2GB Western Digital Blue Edition / Seagate Barracuda 7200.15 1TB Kingston V300 240GB SSD (only if budget permits) Seasonic M12II 520W Corsair Carbide 400R / Cooler Master HAF XB Hope this helps, Cheers! Considering it still has 6 months warranty and with the launch of the 1tb PS 4 for 32k.Honestly though dude, not many will be ready/willing to shell out much (amount which you want to get) for consoles unless the potential buyers really like consoles or like to own new stuff just for the heck of it. Pricey console games also have a bad effect. Just my view as a PC-platform lover. the perfomance of the i5 4440 is really good. Is there anything else I should check before confirming the deal? 1. The best component in that PC is the processor followed by the videocard. Rest are average/below-average. Haswell is so good, even the non-OC'ing ones.2. Check the temps. >Is 4250 a good price for the cooler master N200? >Is the ITdepot a reliable site? N 200 is available in IT depot for 3550. >Should I go for the seasonic S12II or M12II 520W? 1. No. I wouldn't pay more than 3k for it. Prices of newer entry-level chassis have been on the rise lately. For eg. CM Elite 310 used to cost just around 1.5k. And 311 costs over a good 2.5k. 1k extra for front USB3.0 lol.2. Yes. But accidents can happen. ITdepot is a veteran for (online) computer sales here. Based in Chennai. There is a used N200 being sold on TE for 2.6k. Still in "like-new" condition. Negotiate and buy it. 3. Both are good. Not the PSU expert, sadly. I would avoid spreading RAM like that, just get 2 x8GB or 2 x4GB sticks. You want to keep the memory as uniform as possible. Different type sticks do not play well with each other. Plus if you have 1333MHz sticks in your PC, your rest of the memory would down-clock to that speed. TE -- TechEnclave, a PC community. I used to be a member there before I came to iVG. The N200 is a versatile mini-tower, it can house really powerful systems inside with minimal fuss. I think it is one of the only budget chassis that can mount a 240mm radiator without skimping on space or storage options. I am using one and that is why I recommend it. kmkaks
Last question from my part.lol. - How is Cooler MAster B600 Ver 2.0 PSU? I checked and cant see many reviews online? I am asking because I got a great deal from olx for 2k Rs(just one month used with warranty et all). BTW I know I should not be skimping on PSU but I am asking only because I got such an awesome price and I will never ever overcloak or crossfire. Also I will be running 3 120 mm fans and 3 HDD's. kmkaks
I Connected an additional hard drive, a usb 3.0 external hard drive and a pen drive and wham, the computer crashed and I was welcomed with the incense of burning plastic.lol. What happened was the graphics card stopped outputting to my monitor via hdmi. The sounds and the computer were still running but there was no video out. SO is this a PSU problem or is it overheating considering there is only one 90mm fan? PSU - Iball ZPS254(450 w), I wonder how he ran the pc for one year using the crrappy PSU. Would the graphics card have suffered perma damage? Edited December 16, 2015 by kmkaks

Would the graphics card have suffered perma damage? Yes, it could have. But no way of saying for sure. And if the GPU is within warranty, you can always RMA and claim it. The cooler master N300 together with some dusting got down the Temperature by an unbeleivable 11 -12 degrees. The third running of the Unigine benchmark showed just 69 degree celsius this time, However The avg score came down to 816, although the avg fps showed exactly the same as the previous benchmark, the max FPS fell to 60 and the Min FPS fell to 12.1(Whooping fall). Is this because of power drawn by the 2 120mm fans and front usb 3.0 ports and all or could this be because I didnt reassembe the parts together properly(First time assembling a PC). ALPHA17
^ No, synthetic benchmarks performance can vary a whole lot within certain margins of error. I would suggest you try to run a game on it and see what comes of it. Glad the chassis and the clean up benefited you. Happy gaming.
