SonicDave
^my main criteria is that the buttons shouldn't die out.The fancy high DPI and polling rate and stuff isnt a priority. G300S is going on FK for 1K,might buy it Yea I understand. But the thing is you can't tell when a mouse button will break or if it will. Clicks not registering is like a common issue even with premium models. It will just have to bear the test of time. I've used a handful of mice in the last few years. Anyway, G300S is the only good choice in your budget.Regarding the Colin liquid I don't know if its "safe" but I used to use it once in a while. A few drops on the screen and then wiped them with a soft cloth. Didn't harm the screen so far.

SonicDave
^try to find a motherboard (non-Z chipset preferably) which supports 2400MHz RAM at stock and get 2400MHz RAM of your choice. If budget allows that is.
Kazekage Gaara
Also, try to get a bigger SSD. I have a 256 gb SSD and I install most of my regularly played games on the SSD. Trust me, there is a HUGE improvement in loading speeds
NitroNeo
My friend recently got the WD black series hard drive and has said the load times have improved greatly, so do consider that while getting anormal hard drive.Mine is the WD blue one and dragon age Inquisition loading seems forever. Kazekage Gaara
You know, if SSDs weren't available right now, I would've suggested you get a WD Black HDD for the OS, but since SSDs are available, there is no need to get the WD Black HDD. They are just too expensive. Just get a 256 Gb SSD for your OS and your regularly played games (especially online games), and get a regular WD Blue or Red for storage Your OS won't use more than 20 Gb of SSD space. Rest you can use for games Also, it's always recommended to NOT fill your SSD to the brim. To keep your SSD healthy and get optimum performance, it's always recommended to just fill it till 75% to 80% and HENCE my recommendation for the 256 Gb one Having your OS and your games on the SSD is just AWESOME! The improvement in loading speed is MASSIVE!

Will be using it for gaming primarily. Asus H170 pro gaming MSI H170 gaming pro Skip z series unless you want a headache tone your proc to i5 6500 Invest the extra 2k on 256gb ssd Also get ram @2133mhz only as that will be the highest speed supported by H170 chipsets
NitroNeo
Mine is a 7200rpm blue version. But i should have got a 256gb ssd instead of a 128gb. So i suggested wd black as 256gb ssd costs about 8.2k for samsung 850 series.

Do you need monitor too? because any 1080p 22 inch monitor will cost 9-10k approx. which leaves you with 30k for the PC dabba.

ALPHA17
btw is it safe to clean a LCD monitor screen with Colin spray? Yes, it is fine. Am building a PC with the following config. i5 6600 H170 2 x 8 ddr4 2133 RAM Gtx 970 128 gb ssd 2TB HDD Need help choosing the motherboard. Will be using it for gaming primarily. Go for a Core i5 6600k if you can, gets a small bump in clock-speed over the standard 6600. The only con is you need to invest extra in a cooler. Alternatively go for the Core i5 6600. And use the monies saved and purchase a larger SSD. Minimum is a 240GB in the current times. ~128GB SSD is too small for anything worthwhile. If you are going for the 2TB hard-drive, make sure it is a Western Digital Red / Violet or any other colour save Black (over-priced) and Green (slower RPM and higher failure rate). For motherboard, I would suggest you go for the following, MSi H170 Gaming M3 GIGABYTE H170 Gaming 3 ASUS H170 PRO Gaming Hope this helps, Cheers! maybe you have the 5400RPM WD Blue? There is no 5400RPM Blue Edition drive. Edited March 11, 2016 by ALPHA17
