Kazekage Gaara
It's Win 10 iso..Will that software work for making bootable disc.. Am pretty sure the ISO itself is bootable. I mean the mechanics are all there. You just need to burn it to a DVD. Use ImgBurn to burn it and you should be okay

Kazekage Gaara
Ok will give it a try By the way, just asking, you do know that you can simply make that same ISO bootable from a USB pen drive and boot up your PC using that and install Windows directly from it, rather than burning DVDs. ALPHA17
Trying to burn a iso file on a disc using windows disc burner to make it bootable but getting this error message. "The disc image didn't burn successfully because an error occured (Error code: 0x8007045D)". Couldn't find the meaning of the error online..Does anyone know what it means..Also, its a brand new blank DVD i'm using.. Best use Rufus to create a bootable pen-drive. Kazekage Gaara
Best use Rufus to create a bootable pen-drive. +9000 Since he's trying to burn Windows 10 ISO, wouldn't it be better if he used the official Microsoft media creation tool that's here... https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10/ Just asking. For everything else, I definitely recommend Rufus but since it's Windows 10, I personally went with the official media creation tool and it worked great
Agent 47
Best use Rufus to create a bootable pen-drive. Ya that's my last option cause on the mobo i have only 2 USB 2.0 drives which are utilized by my KB and mouse.. Since he's trying to burn Windows 10 ISO, wouldn't it be better if he used the official Microsoft media creation tool that's here... https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10/ Just asking. For everything else, I definitely recommend Rufus but since it's Windows 10, I personally went with the official media creation tool and it worked great I took the iso out of that tool itself..After download got over it asked for burn it to a disc..There was an option "Open DVD burner"..Used it but was unsuccessful.. Also, media creation creation tool also has usb option..if i try that now will it download the iso again..? ALPHA17
^ If you have upgraded to Windows 10 and it has been certified and activated, you do not need a key anymore. Just make a bootable media (optical or pen-drive).
Agent 47
^ So i have made a bootable usb using rufus..and wanted to test n see if the usb autoplays or not (on my running 8.1 OS)..it didn't and showing me the files as it would on an USB..Is that normal and It would when i perform clean installation...cause a DVD would definitely boot up.. Also, if i wanna take another copy of it using Media creation tool..what should my USB properties (allocation unit etc)..cause it doesn't show anything as Rufus would.. Agent 47
^ Did you change your boot order? No what i meant was, i have an official win 8.1 disc..when i insert into drive,,it autoplays and shows the setup window on desktop..i was trying the same thing with this USB it didn't happen..i was asking if that's normal if USB devices don't autoplay but it would work when i change boot order and start installing. I haven't started the upgrade yet as i want to get this perfect cause once i upgrade i guess i won't have an option take a backup for clean installation.. So how my usb needs to be formatted ?..Default or something else.. just put the win 10 iso in rufus,it will format for you. also when you start your PC on the BIOS splash screen you should get something like "Press F2 or DEL to enter BIOS" press whatever key it tells you to,and it should take you to BIOS from there change the boot order to boot from your pendrive first(on my mobo its just drag and drop according to priority) or directly click on your pendrive and it should boot into pendrive
Heaven Angel
That's lot of things to just refresh your OS. Why not just use the upgrade tool? It does provide you fresh installation option.
