KrIzAliD
Wanted to build a pc for 4k 120hz gaming and (image and video) editing. Card will be 3080. Need help with rest of all the stuff. Don't want to get duped by the shop guys here, so asking for a build here. So I will get the idea of which part goes with which part for best performance and also price. Would have gone for amd gfx but i dont want to deal with the shitty driver updates and mess it all up. budget would be 1-1.5 only looking for cpu... keyboard and mouse will buy later. Anything for Cherry/Kailh/Gateron/? Cherry is usually the best but more expensive. Kailh/Gateron are clone keys. Gateron is better than Kailh but taste is up to you. They are more smoother than Cherry. Romer-G isn't good. They are made by Logitech and used in lower entry keyboards. Linear/Clicky/Tactile? There is good difference. Linear is smooth and usually quiet. Good for gaming (red/yellow/black) Clicky is typewriter. Loud but nice feeling (if you like typing). Good for typing / general usage (blue/green) Tactile is slight bumpy feel (less than clicky) and less noisy than Clicky as well. Neutral (brown/clear) Quality? Most of the boards come with ABS keys. Not really an issue but slightly less quality and has shine. PBT caps are thick, high quality, more expensive. For you: If you finding red switches hard to type since they are smooth and accidental presses occur, I suggest going for Brown keys or Clicky blue. Won't really find good quality full board in that budget. Mostly Chinese knockoffs. Logitech G413 is budget board but uses Romer-G mechanical switches which aren't great and also kind of acquired taste. Suggest trying at store if possible. Logitech 512/513 is better choice if you want full mechanical keyboard. Quality, aluminum, RGB, switch selection. 2x budget though. Keychron K4 is full board but still compact. You can check that one too. 2x budget. I don't recommended Razor products. I don't recommended entry level boards either. Waste of money. Personally I would suggest waiting. Save some more and get good quality board with Cherry keys as you won't be buying often unlike cheaper boards which don't last long. If you still want it right away, either Chinese knockoffs or G413 or other alternatives like CM Masterkeys and hope they last long enough. Highly doubt that will fit in 1.5L budget. Maybe more 2L. Spitballing some figures here. Monitor - 50k, (since you want for image and video editing you will want an IPS panel) GPU - 70k, CPU - 30k, Mobo - 20k Remaining 30k will go for PSU, SSD, Cabinet, Mouse, Keyb etc Edited November 2, 2020 by dylanjosh

I would prefer blue clicky and so far, Keychron K4 seems all that I want. I can buy a cheap 400-800 rs one to manage for now and order Keychron when it's in stock. Highly suggest buying RTX 3080 FE at official price. Other stuff: CPU AMD CPU - wait for 5600x launch and decide CPU. 3600/x otherwise. Intel CPU - 10600K or wait till Q1 2021. 9th gen if you find cheap. Example - 9700K/9900K for $170-200 / $270-300 is better than buying 3600. Board AMD - MSI B450M Mortar (B550M if you plan to change CPU within 1-2 years). X570 if you want Gen4 support. ASUS TUF X570-P/Prime X570-P/ASRock X570 Taichi etc. Intel - most Z490 boards are good. Choose between ASUS/MSI/Gigabyte. Slightly higher quality if you plan to OC. For 9th gen - Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Elite/Pro. RAM - totally up to you. Corsair Vengeance 3200Mhz - RGB your choice. Check compatibility with your board for AMD. G.Skill also good. Storage SSD - NVMe 500GB to 1TB. Samsung Pro / WD. Gen4 isn't worth the price. Crucial is cheap but slower. SSD - SATA 500GB to 1TB if you can find cheaper than NVMe. They are still fantastic. HDD - Up to you. Seagate / WD Cooler AIO - Deepcool Castle 240EX/360EX (RGB also there). Lian Li Galahad 240/360. Artic and EKWB good as well. AIR - Noctua always but check case size before buying. Deepcool Assassin III. PSU - 750W Corsair/Antec. 80+ Plus bronze minimum. Case Lian Li o11 dynamic if fits in budget (requires extra fans). Lian Li Lancool II mesh Phanteks P300A/400A/500A. Cooler Master H500/TD500 Mesh. Fractal Meshify C Extra fans - not all cases require them. Check case before buying extra. Totally up to you but any decent quality is must. Corsair/Deepcool/Noctua. Lian Li Uni Fans if you can find and fit in budget. Edited November 2, 2020 by Joe Cool

Also, the multi-core performance is supposed to be almost as good as the 3700x. Edited November 4, 2020 by Ram Dante

I think B550 or X570 would be more advisable considering the other components. B450 will be supported from next year. BIOS update is expected after Jan. B550/X570 is best choice if you plan to change your current CPU to next. 13 hours ago, HundredProofSam said: Coming to my build, I'm building a new PC for myself and I need a CPU recommendation. Recommendations welcome, Thanks 3700/x if you want now. Else get 5600x. Heard there will be good stock worldwide.

i_rock098
Still too much for me man. I don’t think I can go over 30-35k. Maybe I’ll upgrade sometime next year depending on which Nvidia/AMD one is more affordable.Speaking of which, does do Nvidia cards perform at full potential on PCs with AMD CPUs? This is the first time going with AMD so it’s all new for me.Yeah, equivalent tier of cpu from both AMD or Intel won’t make any difference to a Nvidia card. SAM though is only available if you go full team red. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
awasay
Hi, I am looking to build a gaming PC, will be using the existing 1080P monitor. I had initially planned to go with this configuration but heard that the processor is no longer available. Can you guys suggest suitable alternatives? My budget is 75k, I intend to build the PC that should be able to run all upcoming games for the next 3 years at a decent quality on my monitor. Build I had planned for is as below: Ryzen 5 3600 RTX 2060 MSI B450 Tomahawk MAX 2X 8GB 3200mhz RAM 1TB HDD 256GB SSD Corsair CX550 Please advise if this is a good configuration, and suggest an alternative for the processor. Also is there any room to cut costs on certain parts based on the criteria I have? Thanks. Edited November 5, 2020 by awasay Grammar
