So my query is this, how did this website come into place? Who are the originals? Do they still come here? is there like a heirarchy to IVG? We did this long ago in our tribe in tribalwars ( not sure if anyone here plays that ), and it was appreciated by many of the new members, and since I'm new here , I was wondering ... icestrok Posted September 15, 2013 Author Report Share Posted September 15, 2013 I don't know much But I was a member of PS3indians(KrackChap &CarbonCore) long long ago & then two domains named 360indians(Marketantric) & PS3indians merged & all the admins remained same & gamingindians was born This domain was owned by a guy called vinitwins & the database & administration rights was owned by HPSam There was some sort of dispute between vinitwins & the rest of the admins regarding future of this website So they parted ways...& IndianVideoGamer was born sounds similar to the social network where did vinitwins end up? So in a blocked rage, he decided to start his own forum to compete with exbii. However, just when he was all set to start, his young cousins invaded his room to surprise him by their visits. "Bhaiya kya kar rahe ho?" -- "Ye konsa forum bana rahe ho?" kind of innocent questions started pouring up. HPF Sam couldn't tell the truth and so he said, "Beta main Indian Video Gamers ke liye ek forum bana raha hu." I found the forum when it was 360indians (cause i had an xbox 360 at that time- some time in 2007). Joined the forum in late 2007 (any one doubting can check the profile) but never posted much, it was much of a perfunctory presence. In fact i naively went around asking about modded 360 and its pros- coms and MT closed couple of my topics and warned me to not to do that. I got pissed and decided to never come back. Then 1.5 + years later in first half of 09 i sort of returned to the site, was named gaming indians then. I was going to get a ps3 and needed info. This time i stayed till. IVG formed a few months after that. In 07 I was barely there. Sam is tight lipped about the incident. It is better not to poke in this matter. It is internal for the site admins. Initially there was only the official xbox forums where people used to complain about the unavailability of games in India, which was kind of not received by the mods there (esp when the language got out of hand). 2. So some guys like sam, kc, cc, vinit wins and one foreign dude (forgot his name) started this website called 360indians to discuss games, Later it added a ps3 section/wii section etc and ended up finally as gaming indians 3. Some misunderstanding between the admins, and sam &co left gaming indians to start another website (ivg) 4.
