PS3 Disk drive problem (Probably about to die)

When I pop in the disk, the drive makes a noise like it trying to load it again and again. Plus it takes multiple attempts to get the thing to actually read it after which (thankfully) the game runs perfectly. Is there any fix for this problem short of opening the ps3?

 

If not (which is likely, since this seems to be a hardware issue) what are my options?

I bought my PS3 in 2010, so it is way out of warranty. Will I have to pay full price for a replacement PS3 or will I get a discounted rate. If so, how much?

Can I get this fixed locally? if so from where? and how much will it cost? I live in Pune
