Heaven Angel
GAMEPLAY Lichdom is a single-player action adventure intended to introduce gamers to the vast and varied world of Roth where magic is celebrated, feared, and omnipresent. To better deliver a kinetic experience, the game-play camera is first-person but the magic system is designed carefully to deliver a connection to the player’s destructive and manipulative power not found commonly in a “shooter.” We are ensuring that our players will feel everything. The system driving combat and magic is designed from the ground up to deliver an emergent spell-casting experience in worlds tailored to allow for experimentation and re-playability. The player is trained in the use of these systems through quests tailored to feel seamless with the environment. Hundreds of encounters with the corruption of this world encourage a player to build and test their magic creations. Each new region challenges the player with visceral combat and rewards them with magics of increasingly varied effect. With skill and creativity these abilities can be combined to create organic synergies that unleash far more devastating destruction. All of these systems and stories are designed to deliver an experience unique to each player as they choose how to craft their own mage, own their experience, and rid the world of its demonic corruption. THE WORLD LICHDOM is an exploration of The Sixth Age of Roth: a time where the player will wield unfathomable power channeled through bracers gifted to him or her by an enigmatic patron. This patron, Roth, is an immortal mage who has sought to architect the perfect humanity for centuries, building and destroying civilizations through cosmic means beyond mortal comprehension. Our player assumes this role of the “Dragon,” Roth’s champion for this fantastical medieval age lost to decadence and corruption. The Dragon is a mortal gifted with powerful magic, a living weapon aimed against the forces that seek to corrupt and enslave humanity, but he or she is “glass cannon.” The magic system empowers players with the ability to tailor crafted spells that compliment their chosen play styles. Collecting, rebuilding, and ultimately mastering a chosen play-style is required if the player is to purge the world of the evil cultists that cost the Dragon their family and nearly their life. Magic is pervasive in this world but widely trusted because it is a power balanced precariously between the Heavens and the hell known as the Abyss. Crafting and casting magic is risky and requires thought. The Dragon must explore the world and discover the resources and knowledge necessary to unlock the full potential of this power if he or she is to succeed as the true redeemer of this world. Heaven Angel
The thing that sets us apart from any game is our approach to crafting. Magic is really your only tool. Because of this, our crafting of spells is a very deep and engaging exercise. The initial Spell Cores handed to you by the game are few in number but fundamentally different from each other. The player grows in power by taking these Spell Cores and adding other reagents to craft new spells in unique ways. Lichdom is influenced by the components of three different video games. First, our gameplay is most heavily influenced by Borderlands. The action, the way the enemies behave, the approach to level design and our encounters are all reminiscent of that gameplay. Secondly, our boss encounters are influenced by Dark Souls, where large-scale enemies rely on abilities they can chose to employ at random, rather than heavily scripted events you might see in other large-boss games. And finally, our loot collection is most heavily influenced by Diablo, where you collect varieties of rare and powerful items and use those items to grow in strength as you progress through the game. http://www.examiner.com/article/new-rpg-lichdom-to-be-most-influenced-by-borderlands-and-dark-souls

Heaven Angel
Too bad, gameplay is nothing like that. Played pre-alpha a while ago and was disappointed. Other than graphics, it's pretty meh.
