So, the prices are out. Seems to be overpriced 10k model to model in comparison to US prices.

Was expecting the 1.1L price point for the S22U. They didn't announce the price for the 12GB variant though, nor did they announce any pre-order deals and offers. Was a pretty poor rehash of the Unpacked event. Atleast we have the SD 8 Gen-1 confirmed officially now.

Also, Mint is reporting that India is not getting the 8/126GB variant. S22U with 12/256GB is 1.10L and 12/512GB is 1.19L and only the white burgundy and black colours to be launched here.

I thought Samsung released all of their variants and colors in India though?

Strange pricing and availability by that logic.

I was quite keen on the green, but I guess I'll have to settle for the burgundy.

Lol prices. Unless there's like 20k cashback, they're insanely overpriced.

BC made in India and Indians ki gaand maari.

Not happening.

My limit for S22+ was 70k. That was after much deliberation too.

Will settle for S21 series if they go on deep discount or just find something cheaper instead.

US seem to have terrific deals.

S22 - 256GB + S8+ New tab(with keyboard cover) seems to come for around ~ 1L.

Sucks that i don't want tab but highly tempted to source it from someone down the line and resell in india.

Pre order offers only i mean.

Imagine making it in India, exporting to US, paying taxes, and still pricing it cheaper than the country where it was made.
WTF Samsung.

US has very little customs and sales tax is not included in RRP.

India has what? 28% gst on phones now. So far it was same as usd price but we got exynos. Now its more expensive than US but it's also SD.

18% GST.

Phone manufacturers also get incentives under PLI scheme, right ?

Same. Can't justify paying around 90k for 256gb variant. My issue is I am so used to of One UI that going for any other OS phone becomes a hassle. Samsung has an event on 27 Feb. Let's see what else they launch now.

Press X to doubt.

Their actual Global Export country is Vietnam, here it's mainly for domestic consumption.

And you can be sure the parts are imported from China or Vietnam.

Also I doubt they have much "competition" in terms of flagships.

Like bacha kya hai ab? Apple?
