The man speaketh the truth..Dont even look at Galaxy S. It is too much of a headache for a person like you (as you have a business to attend to and this phone requires lot of tweaks.) If you want to go for android, dont take anything other than Nexus S.

Try giving android a spin on someone else's phone. If you are still confused, then go for iPhone 4 as you are already ok with its ecosystem.

Out of your requirements, all things should work equally well on both phones except google maps. Google maps are much better on Android. There are lot of things missing on iPhone in maps (e.g. navigation, places, ratings, layering, voice search, etc) and also it is not clear whether vectorized google maps will come to iPhone or not which is a pretty big deal for maps.

thanks for great tips. I love tweaking things, so that shud not be a prob till the SGS does everything. Also after the upgrade to android 2.3 things may get easier on the SGS. Benefit of getting a SGS is local warranty.

I love the iphone experience, even save on few accessories n paid software if i get another iphone. BUT, the way apple made us wait for small features like copy n paste, sms forwarding etc makes me hate them. On the other hand most new app today is first released for the android, so i'm pretty sure the app imbalance is going to change pretty soon. I also like wifi tethering on the android, really helpful while travelling. On the whole, i can see future with android and it will go beyond the capabilities of the iphone which very restrictive at times.

It is available in retail actually. It costs 27k with bill. the old 9700 costs 24-25k so i might as well out 2k more and get this one.

Think it costs Rs.29k to 35k in retail. If you get it through gray markets, you'll get it around 26k, which is a massive bargain. But one thing is certain. Its a bloody brilliant business mobile. And its so much faster than the Bold 9700. Im not into this Facebook stuff, but if you are, it also allows very easy and comfortable networking.

How did u land on that conclusion? Have u seen the android app market yet? Imbalance isnt changing anytime soon. Anyway, Samsung has recently released some pretty decent firmwares for the phone so the initial problems with it are more or less gone. N hate them? U make it sound like it something personal :P. Bygones be bygones, now the firmwares are faster, and much better. Anyway, buy the SGS :D..

No no, I checked croma today. Blackberry Bold 9780 is 27500 with the usual warranty. its 33k for the Blackberry torch. Facebook and twitter etc are quite functional on the BB too. Besides, the push mail and rock solid battery life on the BB is unmatched really. And of course their trump card, BBM :D Actually m glad for the new ads which are being airing for blackberry. Altho most people dont take up a BB plan, lot of people do, so so many friends and colleagues are on BBM. Plus u can make groups etc. So easy to be in touch 24/7

:harhar:

Guess what, I checked few stores, only one had the SGS in stock and asked me 27k, my offer to them was 26k which they declined. I walked to another store and the guy tell me that samsung stopped manufacturing SGS, i told him that maybe for nexus S which happens to be cheaper, he did not believed me and checked some website (I did not see the link) which listed Nexus S and with brackets it was written "previously SGS". :giggle:

So now I'm definitely waiting for nexus S, I'm sure samsung is going to launch it in India pretty soon. :clap3:
