Babyzelda
Agreed really, but still wish companies like Nokia had at least one such model in production, most I know now carry 2 phones, one smart phone and one for longer talk time, so a quality phone with just basic functions would be really amazing, The modern phones may not be too exciting physically, but they are so much more beautiful in terms of software and functionality. AtheK
reading your post about you coming from the grandfather era, I thought you'd be like 50 The modern phones may not be too exciting physically, but they are so much more beautiful in terms of software and functionality. Yup. It's their flagship. They're trying to streamline their naming again (they tried to start doing it with the One X, but just ended up not following through). but the price is for us mortals, Olympus never had to care well Ya HTC is a f**ktard at pricing front, but I guess it will be priced similar to S4, butterfly was the first hd phone so they went too overboard. sixthsense
Started using phone a bit earlier. This one was my bro's first phone but i used it sometimes as well. So in a way my first cellphone which i used. Presenting Nokia 6150 Then it was this beauty handed down by my bro to me. Panasonic GD90 Again handed down to me by my bro. Sony JMD J5. This one had an innovative "jog dial". After being handed down the phones, ultimately i had something which i purchased new. Yeh Nokia 3315.. with 'snakes 2' Then it was 8310. Dubai imported piece which had numbers written in arabic on it and costed me 13k in 2003. Had white backlight for the screen. Used this shitty Reliance LG CDMA phone only for internet. The famous Rs 500/- phone. Nokia 6610- given to me by my employer. By my employer again. The big fata$$ nokia 6600. Famously known for MMS My own purchase Nokia 3230. Still in the family. LG KG375 - Bought in australia as i needed a local no. and the cost with the phone was same as opting without the phone. still have it as my backup phone. charming little thing. Bought these two beauties on my trip to Japan. These are by Samsung and my mom still uses the white one. Got the first smartphone HTC Diamond when Airtel launched a 2G locked verison in India for 27k. Still have it and unlocked it thru XDA. The Diamond was rendered useless as withing 3 months of purchasing it , my company decided to give me BB 8700. Got hooked to it. Then upgraded by my employer to BB Curve. Nice handset. At this time owning a BB was the coolest thing. BYOD got introduced and as addicted to BB i got this beauty with a sliding keyboard and used for about 8 months. Samsung Captivate Glide. I still repent on selling the captivate to buy this shitty plastic called Galaxy S3. Within two weeks sold it off. Currently surviving on this POS as a stop gap from my employer. Galaxy Chat B 5330 I'll have this in my hand in next 2 days. Nexus

Shantz
I think there's unnecessary confusion about this. When the suspended state multi-tasking was announced, I remember Jobs or Forstall mentioned that the app which is last in the RAM stack or the earliest launched app which was still in the RAM will be killed and it will have some small time (a few seconds) to save its state before it is killed. Weird. I don't use the YouTube app. Does any other app show similar behaviour? Ah. That's more like it. I was seriously surprised that anyone who has done CS101 could think of doing anything other than LRU for killing the apps. For the youtube thing, i notice this only with youtube mostly because it is sort of the app that is used 90% of the time due to my kid :/. It might be just the app as well though. avkash
all the MMS that did rounds on internet those days were mostly shot using this phone Also on the force close on iOS, never happened with me and my kid keeps playing with it all the time and has so many apps open at the same time, as far as I can see they all retain their states well even after a couple of days. Yeah my iPad is almost never switched off, thanks to my son
The Wolfy among us
I see the force close a lot when playing games like Infinity Blade, or reccently Real Racing 3. I used to think it was the app's fault and had bad memory leaks etc. And yes, it does close the app which you are currently working on. avkash
Maybe the running app crashes because of some issue, it just cannot be that an OS has been designed to close the running app. This just cannot be. Impossible.
