Nexus4, SAMSUNG Galaxy S III and SONY XPERIA SP should be on your list. And if you do not like the looks of vanilla Android / default Android UI on your handset you can always use a different launcher to spice things up. Here are some of the theming I have done on vanilla . And this all on Apex launcher , the amount of totally different launchers is amazing too . I know the Nexus is a better phone in terms of specs especially at that price. But I'm not overly keen on the plain vanilla OS. On the other hand, Sense looks a lot cooler! If you are ok with a little used phone, droid Dna is selling for around 26k on Erodov, catch without warranty. DNA is a better phone then Nexus in almost every department, except the software updates. Or xperia ZL Selling for 31k. Both the above phones are one gen up compared to nexus 4. ZR is the same hardware as the XPERIA Z / ZL in a more compact frame (4.5" screen), improved water and dust resistance. Also, costs a shade less than the ZL ~30500/- (last I checked at a SONY Centre). Also, as Sackboy and I said you can customise the UI with Launchers and icon packs without rooting the phone (or swapping ROM's for that matter), it does not really matter if the base UI is icky in your opinion. About the hTC One that is your call, although I do not enjoy anything about it save the smaller screen size. Big Boss Posted June 18, 2013 Report Share Posted June 18, 2013 (edited) Just buy Nexus 4 and save 10k. EDIT: NO POINT even considering buying Droid DNA for 26k over Nexus 4 for 25k with warranty. Only thing that Droid DNA has over Nexus 4 is 1080p resolution, nothing else. Similar CPU, similar camera, same RAM. But it has older OS (4.1) and no warranty as you are buying 2nd hand. Trust me, 1080p vs 768p on N4 makes no difference. I have both Xperia Z and Nexus 4, and I prefer Nexus 4's screen. Also, since resolution is lower on N4, the performance is actually better as lesser pixels dont stress the hardware. With the One's 4.7" screen there are only a few other phones that come with bigger screens at 5". And I was initially planning to get a WinPho8 but later changed my mind for the platform's want of apps and stuff. Btw, did any of guys feel that the Nexus is a bit wide? It feels awkward to hold. I don't know what they did with the height-width ratio. The white Nexus looks stunning, though. A real heart breaker! And sense is actually a terrible UI from what I have used on HTC One X. It has stutter in animations and looked overly cluttered. I would not go for a 1st hand DNA for 26k, forget about 2nd hand. You can check out the Galaxy S3 if you want expandable storage ( like me ) You will feel good when you get ALL android updates day one without rooting , its a big plus and both GS3 and N4 are extremely easy to root . You might say rooting is not that important right now but when you get used to rooting you will never go back . MIUI, PA even Sense ports. At the form factor , do you have small hands ? The form factor is good for people like me with big hands , the Note 2 is TOO big , the 4.7-5 range is where my hands fit perfectly . Not too big , not too small .
