Fokia 920 started freezing every now and then. It was probably due to one of the rogue apps i guess, but enough was enough. Now i have put on sale both of the phones, note 2 as well as Lumia 920.

Lol , congrats , did you see the Moto X BTW ? I think you will like it .

Guys a network question.

While using mobile data, what speeds we get by default in India IF no specific data pack is subscribed to?

When I bought my new phone it came with 2 months of free unlimited 3g for Vodafone, fortunately I had that and such a plan got activated.

Prior to this new phone when ever I used to activate mobile data without using any internet pack it used to give 2g speeds (E sign). So now when this free 3g offer runs out will I get 2g or 3g if/when I use mobile data (no subscription) ?

It is a pre paid connection.

Firstly I don't understand how you were able to use EDGE without a data pack activated. Dunno.

But after your 3G usage you will not get 3G speeds. Atleast on Airtel they are pretty particular about this. Not sure if will get 2G as well.

I was able to use it but it charged exorbitant rates. I guess I meant to say- using mobile data without a subscription top up, like xx rs for yy gb with 30 days validity.

Aah ok got it. Nowadays I am not sure how it works. Either you have a subscription pack, or you have not data is the way it works me thinks.

Even pay as you go, similar to what you posted above is a pack which you have to subscribe to.

I Need a original nokia charger for my mom Nokia 6233, the flipkart one seems to have alot of complaints by users saying the pin easily breaks or the charger takes alot of time to charge, is there any other good online phone accessories store ?

@ wolfy.

Ok. It must be pay as you go I think. Anyhoo, any idea if the speeds would be 3g or 2g when the present 2 month period runs out ?

Also, curiously the offer given by the phone was 2 months of free 3g from the day of purchase or till 31 July '13, which ever comes first. Now I got the phone in July first week so technically it should have gone till 31st July but it, on its own, activated the free 3g plan for one more month ie August (got an sms stating this).

I even check my balance from time to time, no internet charges are being deducted. Not complaining :D

I think at the end of two months you should have no data connection. Ethically the service provider should do that.

Considering Indian companies, you may be automatically migrated to the pay as you go plan, and you'll get 3G and a fat a*s bill.

I guess how pay to go work is what connection you have enabled, so if you do not have 3g checked it will be 2g, if you check 3g it will switch to 3g. I might be wrong, also why dont you just activate a monthly package of what you want.

In other news motorola will be making nexus 5.

Moto X mehhh, better to get nexus 4. Half priced.

Why because it has dual core ? I haven't had a moment ever when my dual core S3 has been pushed to the limits and quite frankly except keeping them side by side I don't see the difference in the S4's and S3's screen . Moto X shits on the HTC One in your "premium feel" department , and has a touted 24 hour battery life but gives around 16 hours ... That phone seems good to me ...

All these new phones just try to win on the spec E Penis war but none can actually use all of that power .

It's premium then htc one cos you saw it and felt it

Dual vs quad is not even a question here, it is extremely over priced, nexus 4 is much cheaper and betters the specs of moto x. I have never said it is a bad phone nor degrading it, it does not justify the price tag. Would have been a great phone if priced equal to nexus or maybe 50$ more. Right now it just does not fit.

If you get your head out of fanboyism you will probably see that world is greener then you actually expected it to be. And if you had just read my comment before going on a typing spree, i have said Nexus 4 is better because it is PRICED half. Get the drift now mate :P
