All about priority if the price is same, all rounder my pick is G2, Nexus 5 for plain stock experience and quick updates, HTC One for the best looks and feel, though processor will be 2 gen old soon.

NEW DELHI: Just a week after the specifications and images of Sony's upcoming Xperia Z1S smartphone hit the internet, the handset's price and launch date have been revealed. Xperia Z1S is the Japanese company's smartphone with top-end specs, but a relatively smaller screen.

A user on a Chinese forum has posted new images of the Xperia Z1S along with its tentative launch period and price. The handset will reportedly cost 3,600 yuan (or $590). This is just a little less than the 3,820 yuan ($630) price tag of the current top model, Xperia Z1.

Sony is likely to launch the smartphone in the first quarter of next year, according to the report.

The Xperia Z1S is said to have a 4.3-inch 720p display, run on Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) and pack a 2,300mAh battery. It will share features like a 2.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 chipset, 2GB RAM and 20.7MP camera with its bigger sibling Xperia Z1.

This smartphone will be the only handset in the market to have a top-end chipset and camera. Other smaller variants of top smartphones, such as Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini and HTC One Mini, do not share such specs with their bigger counterparts except branding.

720p screen at this price tag is definitely a bummer <_<

Smaller battery too.

From gsmarena via XPERIA Guide

Anyway, the price and launch target are unconfirmed, but aside from the smaller screen (4.3" 720p vs. 5" 1080p) and a smaller battery (2,300mAh vs. 3,000mAh), the Sony Xperia Z1S will have the same hardware as the big Z1. That includes the powerful Snapdragon 800 chipset, 20MP camera with Sony G Lens (which you can see in the photo) and the IP58 water-resistance certification.

I would not dig too much into the price-point from the alleged Chinese pricing of the hardware. Because we all know how much the PlayStation should actually come up to (direct $ to INR conversion) and where it might end up getting priced.

So hold your horses.

Also, for a 4.3" screen 1080p is overkill and unnecessary. The smaller screen and resolution numbers also mean the smaller battery should be just as capable of giving respectable performance if not more.

Yes the firmware updates for the Z1's camera have really improved its performance although low light it is still not going to win any prizes.

Enough for 720p, my point was price difference is less with smaller component being used. 75-100$ difference would have been good.

LG G2, HTC ONE OR NEXUS 5 ???

If Price factor is more or less same in all the three brands then without a doubt G2.

G2 all around is the best set in 2013 TBH for that price Range, Only two handsets Xperia Z Ultra & Note 3 are better in the Raw processing power and performance. But both are pricey and bit bulky, I mean Big.
